Crazy thought: Why don’t Pokémon that are gifted (Lapras, Eevee, Porygon...etc) receive an EXP Boost in battle? You’re not the original trainer that caught them. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
I don't know. I think the reason they added in the EXP boost was so you can't trade in a perfectly IV bred (or hacked) pokémon from a different game and then absolutely cruise through everything. The EXP boost essentially just complements the badge mechanics in this way.
I think because you are the OT. These pokemon were hatched or created, but never had a trainer. Which is also why you can nickname them, unlike traded Pokemon.
5:15 I assumed that the Mewtwoites existed forever, but had no effect on any Pokémon. But Mewtwo’s clone DNA made it compatible somehow. I think the megastones weren’t created specifically for certain Pokémon, they’re just compatible with their respective mons. Then they were given the appropriate names.
That or it's pyschic powers became so strong that it allowed mewtwo to simply create it's own mega evolutions, & that the stones are just placeholders to prevent the mega requaza situation
8:38 I can explain that one. The reason gyraradose is red, is because he was forced into evolution (duh). But the reason wild pokemon are of a different color, that isn't the previous evolution's color, is because they possessmutated Genes that give them that color. Like in reality, an animal with mutated Gene's cam Express diffrent hair colors. This mutation could also be the reason the shiny pokemon have better stats, because the mutation granted above average strength, speed, height, etc. And the reason gyrarados is red, is because its evolution was forced and didnt allow the cells to change color as the creature was to age. If the magikarp aged, its scales would turn blue because a different gene or pigmentation was developed to Express that color. But since it was forced into evolution, its body wasnt prepped for the premature change. Thus leaving the pokemon with its underdeveloped-pigmented scales.
@@vincentsreptiles5270 yes they do, back in gen 1 the way you could tell if you had a shiny was by looking at stats and seeing if they were above average. Past gen 2 however, they decided to go with a pallet swap to make it easier for people to identify a shiny

11:22 I once read that voltorb is based on a japanese myth, which says that objects become alive when they’re 100 years old. That’s the reason why his dex number is 100.
There were more than 8 gyms in Gen 1. There was a fighting type gym that lost it's certification just before you got to the town. This could mean that there are more small gyms that you don't get to see.
You do know the GS ball contains Celebi, it was explained in Japan was back when Gold and Silver were released. "The ball can only be unsealed using the shrine in the heart of the forest"
For when you want to get through the power plant but don’t want to deal with those pesky self-destructing voltorbs. Does not work on Electrodes though.
IDK if I have read it or it was included on a season 1 episode, but I'm pretty sure that they have explained that in every region, there's more than 8 gyms. It just depends on the direction the trainer chooses on what gym will he battle next. But I guess they ruled that out because it's more easier to have mainstream gyms instead of having more than 8 gyms that wouldn't be shown because the protagonist didn't decide to go on that gym. And it would be easier (I guess) to make the games that way.
About the ten badge thing who Gary had they are actually more than 8 gyms in the Kanto region and in every pokemon region(expect alola of course) the anime has confirmed this so many times
In the early games, it is said that you need 8 medals to fight the league, but it is never exressivelly said they have to be from the same region (and here, my headcanon where gym leaders have different pokemon set up depending on how many medals the opponent already have); In the anime, there are secondary leagues that gives medal, like the ones from the orange isles, but aside from that """" recent"""" episode where gary decide to retire from fighting, the thing is never explored in more than passing
@@Jdudec367 I will tell You do examples (you probably will not remember them Because they are from filler episodes 😂) one example is from the Kanto anime and we have do gyms (not officially yet by the pokemon League) and one of the gym leaders had an electabuzz and the other one had an scyther (that episode its also the episode who pikachu loves Ketchup) and the other example is in johto a trainer who wanted to open a water Type gym because he was inspired form mistys sister I think
Also voltorb is obviously a ghastly that was in the process of evolution when someone caught caught it, but instead of evolving it became voltorb with haunter eyes
I think "the ground rose up somewhere" thing could be a fault on the other side and you cannot reach it unless the ground will rise to match the other side's height
3:54 "Ground rose up somewhere!" would've probably been used for Rock and Ground types (also sounds like what groudon did) It would've probably been used to make paths that go upward to specific locations, like gyms But it was probably scrapped due to the Rock type gym being the first gym, and making the player get an HM move for the first gym would've been tedious for both the player and the devs
its because nidoqueen is partially based off the rhino and rhino's are notorious for not being able to breed in captivity, but they can breed in the wild

*THE BIGGEST POKEMON MYSTERY*
-How the anime is still going
No one knows
@Ryoko Asakura it's called merchandising and milking my good friend
Still watching it btw
@Ryoko Asakura like you..jackass
@Ryoko Asakura tell that to some other animes that are even longer running
I already smell the XY vs SM fanbase battle already 😑
About the ten badge thing who Gary had they are actually more than 8 gyms in the Kanto region and in every pokemon region(expect alola of course) the anime has confirmed this so many times
really? I don't remember this...
In the early games, it is said that you need 8 medals to fight the league, but it is never exressivelly said they have to be from the same region (and here, my headcanon where gym leaders have different pokemon set up depending on how many medals the opponent already have);
In the anime, there are secondary leagues that gives medal, like the ones from the orange isles, but aside from that """" recent"""" episode where gary decide to retire from fighting, the thing is never explored in more than passing
@@oresti9271 huh interesting I definitely understood the second example more
Here's another mystery to consider, how did Gary get the volcano badge, when he stated that Cinnabar didn't have a gym? unless he was lying
Also voltorb is obviously a ghastly that was in the process of evolution when someone caught caught it, but instead of evolving it became voltorb with haunter eyes
7:11 I think, maybe evolving Nidoran♀️ causes it to enter some sort of menopause.
One more question: HOW DOES NURSE JOY STAND STILL UNTIL THE NEXT POKEMON GAME COMES OUT
There are MANY diffrent Nurse Joy, we just can’t identify them in the games.
Now that legend arceus is out the whole hollowed out apricorn thing seems like they planed it for 20 years
0:22 this moment gave me heart attack
I feel like they would be able to create their own mega stones, which would explain why Mewtwo has two.
Wait...Mewtwo...two megas...I just got it
Unless mew and arceus knew mewtwo would be created somehow and new didnt want a mega stone
@@shadowoffob555 Dialga knew told Arceus he made the stones, The End
@@vegetalover9297 either way lol
Maybe, but then arceus could make his own mega stone.
Me seeing endgame=not crying

Voltorb = pokemon that died in pokeballs
The intro phisically hurt me
@Stark Blee to quote Dr ivo robotnik, NOBODY CARES
Hilarious intro as always dobbs.
Foop2006pizza 202 it’s making fun of someone who did the exact same thing and posted it on reddit
In legends arceus the perfessor said pokemon shrink THEMSELVES to fit in pokeballs
I think "the ground rose up somewhere" thing could be a fault on the other side and you cannot reach it unless the ground will rise to match the other side's height
Can’t thgifbn
14:38 was such a missed opportunity to use the Sans voice
What was #2? I didn't really get it :S
Javiercar idk either I need answers
I thought the Voltorbs are Pokémon that died and stayed in the pokeball without going to the Hospital
6:19 IS THAT ASGORE THEME(Undertale) I HEAR?!!
these aren't mysteries
THESE ARE PLOTHOLES
3:54
"Ground rose up somewhere!" would've probably been used for Rock and Ground types (also sounds like what groudon did)
It would've probably been used to make paths that go upward to specific locations, like gyms
But it was probably scrapped due to the Rock type gym being the first gym, and making the player get an HM move for the first gym would've been tedious for both the player and the devs
06:17 Asgores music 😂
6:20 listen carefully to the background music.

its because nidoqueen is partially based off the rhino and rhino's are notorious for not being able to breed in captivity, but they can breed in the wild
