The kid has a head on him. Honestly after watching his most recent session with Mike Schmitz on ESPN he has learned a lot by playing in the g league. Things like putting a guy behind him in the pick and roll before he makes a decision and just the type of shots he's taking. I think he is going to have a great rookie year and make the g league path very enticing for top level players with something to prove
it's worth mentioning that the last nba prospect that j kyle mann felt had an "alluring upside" was michael porter jr and he's been killing it dope stuff as always mann. i always agree
J Kyle Mann needs his own channel. His videos, although few and far between, always give me life. Excellent quality with a great outlook and knowledge on the game
Another positive about Green is he’s clearly capable of learning. Much more in control overall, fewer mistakes, and fewer clear lane misses on fastbreaks. The “can he continue to grow and learn in the League,” is already Mostly answered.
Whenever I see a J Kyle Mann video, I feel like I’m about to enjoy some delicious Wagyu steak. There’s something about his content that puts him above the rest. Love ya Dime Drop!
These are the kinda people I want to see on sportscenter and various other high end sport channels. This is quality content that keeps us engaged. Real unbiased basketball analysis. Im not saying the storylines and other things aren't needed as well, but we need more of this in the front headliners as well to balance it all out.
J. Kyle Mann, your videos have always been second to none and The Ringer better appreciate how good you make them look. I typically go into your Draft prospect videos with little to no idea who the kid is and even without having previous investment I find myself GLUED until the video is over.
Exactly. I’m not sure why they still use Lavine as his comp tho. Even 2021 Zach can’t drive and finish at the rim like JG. I honestly don’t get the comparison at all other than skinny and can jump high
I never saw anyone compare his athleticism with LaVine's, every time I see the comp it is because they have similar size, jump high and can shoot/score, never really their athleticism specifically
Am I the only one who sees young kobe/jordan in his game? Similar thin body frame, athletic slasher and can shoot a little. Would be enticing to see how good he will turn out in the future.
8 months later.....kid's improved efficiency and confidence are really lookin to take him to brink of all-stardom going into Silas' 3rd coaching season. Wen his team is firing on all cylinders they're honestly 1 of the most fun to watch. We'll see how this translate into winning going into 2023....
Reminds me a lot of Edwards in his eagerness and willingness to shoot the rock, I’m not concerned, I think with NBA level training he will smooth that jumper out
Bradley Beal is a all star level player but if u want to be voted in constantly you have to be wining games something Beal doesn’t care about. Which is why he doesn’t get voted in much.
I actually think that finishing ability is shockingly similar to Lavine, but that ability is constantly underrated thanks to his high-flying dunks and deep range. Lavine's finishing ability doesn't look like someone only 200lbs, he has great touch around the rim and has the same ability to take contact at the rim and seemingly float in the air Lavine does. (Also worth noting that at UCLA Lavine was also a scrawny 180lbs)
I thought JKM was high on Jalen pre-draft. But after watching him play in the summer league, I think this take might have vastly underestimated his shooting ability and his ceiling (and maybe overestimated his defense). I don't see any reason why Jalen won't be shooting 40% from three or better in his prime. That being the case, and if all else falls for him (playmaking, ball handling, strength, and defense all improves), he could be a top 10 player one day.
@@krunkformula some players have all the talent in the world to be great but they don’t have the mentality. He has both. Jalen just got that IT factor about him. You’ll see eventually.

Athletic, high-energy and slasher at the rim and he also mentioned he wants to be in all-defensive 1st team so must be working on that front as well. Will be interesting to see which young player will develop into such role.

@@paulwarren6062 I actually like that you brought up Malik monk because him and Jalen have a similar game and body build but the difference is Jalen is 2 to 3 inches taller and has the mentality to be a superstar. This series is the jewel in The Ringer's video content crown. Take a bow, J. Kyle Mann.
all kyle mann content is good content i love it
This and the void with KOC are top tier

Where else can I find his content? Does he run his own podcast?
Shaun Pietersma nah, i just watched the dimedrop. that’s where he uploaded content before joining the ringer.

J Kyle Mann the only reason I'm subbed to The Ringer. The guy deserves more videos on the channel
