- Hi everyone! I hope you are all okay today? Here is another grocery haul and meal plan - this grocery shop is from Aldi and there's a meal plan for a family of five down below too. I only want these videos to be helpful, so please don't watch this if you think it will upset you in any way. I hope you enjoy them and it's useful. Lots of love, and thank you so much. MEAL PLAN
WEDNESDAY - Carbonara with garlic bread and rocket.
THURSDAY - Spanish tortilla with salad, olives, meats and humous
FRIDAY - Chilli con carne with rice - use up any tins in cupboard like corn etc.
SATURDAY - African Bobotie with rice (fish fingers, chips and peas for the kids) - recipe in video to screenshot.
SUNDAY - Chicken burgers with wedges and salad

I'm a 31 year-old mum of three, who lives in Cheshire, in the UK. I have a son called, Bill, and I am no longer with his dad, as we split mutually when he was a baby. I never imagined my life as it is now, with children to different partners, but I am so happy that it is my life. I met Mark in the summer of 2013, and we became firm friends. We fell in love when I became single and we’ve never looked back. We have a daughter, called Daisy, born April 2016, and a son, called Stanley, born March 2018. This is us now. I'm done having babies and just excited to watch them grow, as a family of five. I don't consider myself to be anything other than a mostly-happy, mostly-tired, average mum. Hi Charlotte! I've seen your recipe for no knead bread and fancy having a go but I would love to see a video of it actually being made?
its not just you Charlotte, our supermarkets have stopped putting yellow signs up for ''specials'' and fruit and vegies have risen in price! Seven weeks after the panic buying started, some of the necessities like pasta, flour, and etc are still flying off the shelves and increased in price! Your aldi is very similar to our aldi in Australia and I can see some of the same brands like the pasta that your purchased in my own pantry from aldi. Opposites sides of the planet with the same pasta brand, lol. thumbs up .
I do agree that food shopping is more expensive at the moment - nowhere seems to have any offers on like usual! Also, those dishwasher tablets are fab - I don’t use anything else!

Thank you for the meal inspiration. Since lockdown I've been lacking inspiration for meals. I think because it's a struggle to get some bits now and want to minimise the amount of time you spend in the supermarket! I would love to see some cook-a-long type videos or like a raid the fridge / cupboard for a meal! Testing your creativity 😘
Thanks for doing these videos Charlotte, I love the little slice of normality at the moment and it certainly gives me some good ideas for new meals. I agree that food shopping definitely seems more expensive at the moment, but I put it down to me only doing 1 big shop a week rather than nipping in for little bits more often. I bet if I added all the little shops together it would end up working out the same! Keep doing what you're doing with these videos, it's certainly helping this frazzled, exhausted working and home schooling mum of two! xx

I've been spending the same amount on a weekly shop (Sainsbury's) and we are only a family of 3! That does include everything though from food/drink, toiletries & cat food etc. x

You're not wrong Charlotte. I've noticed a lot of my "normal" food shop items (cat food, ice cream etc) have gone up 20-30p. Which is not a great deal but does add up to a lot. As always, great video. Love your food hauls. Xx
Iv got the hot cloth face wash and it’s lovely. The pink clay one is lovey too but the one you’ve bought makes your skin feel amazing xxx

Yes prices here in Wichita Falls, TX U.S.A have gone up and we try to shop once a week currently at 3 to 4 stores...shops. I ove soup and will slip in we we acting ill or need comfort. Wonderful food selections .
I love aldi and miss it I'm doing my shops online as I have 6 weeks left of pregnancy with my 3rd so staying away from the shops I always love looking at their middle aisle with the mix of all sort of bits also I'm south african and love bobotie lovely meal xx

Ty so much charolette I seen your haul the last time and thought Tony can we try the Aldi coffee the BARISTA ONE honestly a game changer amazing so he is going shopping to Aldi tomorrow and I've asked him for us to try the 2 types of burgers as I've got to stay in as I have a servere heart problem xxxx and he has said I'm getting the hot cloth cleanser as a treat can't wait xxxx

I spent £129 😭 definitely agree with the prices going up and having everyone home makes it seem more expensive but then I guess we’re not going out doing the top up shops we jut go once a week like you do xx

Oh my god, £140 for that.. I’m sure you think that’s expensive but that’s so cheap compared to what I’ve been paying at Tesco for 3 adults.. we feel bankrupt! Plus you got toiletries & other bits! We’re now refusing to go back to Tesco as we just can’t afford it, so we’re off to Aldi in a few weeks. Great haul! And yes.. teary most days too, just coming out of a huge pain flare up of my chronic disabilities because I’m just harbouring so much worry & stress. We’ll get through it though xx

Sounds delicious, as always! 💕I am going to add chili con carne to our meal plan this week using veggie ground “beef” and will definitely be trying your no knead bread recipe. Thanks for the idea! Other meals for us this week: tacos, spring veggie risotto with home made ciabatta, steaks (with roasted cauliflower for me) and potato wedges with string beans, Belgian waffles and fruit salad. 🙂Hope you and your family are well? Love that you're doing a South African dish - I grew up with bobotie and it's really nice. Have you ever tried malva pudding? It's so great!!

Most supermarkets have taken the majority of offers away to prevent stockpiling even further 😊 also I agree that although it feels more expensive money is being saved elsewhere
I'll have to try Aldi sometime. We are trying to do one shopping per week and make it work.

I was so happy to find the pretzal choccie again! Although has it always been £1.49? That seems a lot for Aldi but perhaps it’s always been that much x
I think what you spent was good for what you got. I usually buy shampoo from Superdrug etc so when all that’s added to supermarket shop it does get more expensive. Although, I’m not sure about Aldi but I feel Tesco and Asda prices have gone up or there are less roll backs maybe?
Food is pretty much what we’re all buying now so I guess we’re spending more because we’re all at home so have to meal plan!
Tryed the diswasher tablets and they do smell the best compared to the fairy dishwasher tablets
The spicy burgers are amazing! Exactly like a kfc zinger, so so hot though so would only recommend if you like spice😂

I got the hot cloth cleanser to replace my liz Earle, i have tried it before and thought it was fine! I really wanted the Clinique moisture boost dupe but it was sold out! Didn’t see the glow tonic dupe either, I would ave got that as almost finished my Pixi one. I spent £200 at Aldi last week jeez! For two of us! But £67 was booze 😂

I was talking to my parents earlier and saying that I swear food shops have put their prices up! Seeming much more expensive and a lot less offers :(
I thought those unicorn cones were 99p, I get them most weeks. Be gutted if they are more, although we all love them so will still get them 😂
The tempura chicken is gluten free and so much cheaper than the M&S gf version. Enjoy
Yes I feel like they have become slightly more expensive aswell. Annoying because a lot are not in a position to be spending more money than they need to.

Prices are higher where I'm at in the U.S. plus they just announced stores will be limiting the amount of chicken and pork you can buy 🙄 shopping is stressful now.
i find food shopping extremely stressful now too! I’m constantly thinking about what I need, have I got enough of everything and what will I do if I can’t get a necessity! Argh!
@@mc4559 so very true..toilet paper is still hit or miss. I'm constantly over my food budget and it just makes it that much worse. I'm an essential worker and I am grateful that my husband and I aren't without income but its still hard right now. Take care ❤❤

Tortelloni is ever so slightly bigger than tortellini- plus it’s using filled with a veggie and cheese filling whilst tortellini is often filled with meat. Just my understanding though
The spicy version of those burgers are quite hot. They are really nice but you do need to like spicy stuff
I tried the dishwasher tablets didn’t work for me a lot of stuff was coming out dirty
We have just started on them after our usual Fairy ones have fun out. I hope they work okay for us! xx

Shops definitely more expensive especially as I would usually look at what’s on offer and/or use vouchers etc but there aren’t any offers on at the mo
I’m put off going the shop as I’ve just been shouted as I didn’t see a guy waiting I was told I had no standards I tried to explain I was told not to be smart xxx
