Hey Amanda, thank u for your videos ❤ I really enjoy your videos about the Warré hive. I learned so much in these. But this video inspires me for next year. We have so many maple trees on our ground so i'm looking forward now, to get amazing bavarian maple sirup from them next year. Greetings from germany 😊
That sounds great, I love maple syrup and it's such a treat in the spring. I also have another video on making maple sugar. We use that to substitute for brown sugar in recipes. That and the honey we don't have to buy much refined sugar. The independence is awesome. Good luck!
Sweet rewards! I remember doing this with my father and siblings growing up in Quebec. The first year we boiled inside on the kitchen stove while my mother was out. We ended up having to repaint the kitchen after scrapping off the sticky mess on the walls and ceiling.
Haha, that sounds like something I would have done as a kid! I love this time of year for this reason. We also make maple sugar and use it for baking. It's amazing what you can do with a few maple trees! Thanks for the comment!
Hello there! It's better to process it as soon as you can as it can spoil. I have read that you should treat it like milk, you want to keep it chilled and then it will be alright for a while, but not too long. Thanks for the comment!

Is it better to process the sap straight away or can you store it for a bit of time, before processing it?
