- Again, a tribute to one of the best and one of my favourite bassists of all time. Here's a rant to begin with.
I AM PISSED!!! Bob Daisley, a greatest of all time was not inducted in rock n roll hall of fame with Ozzy Osbourne. Ozzy had a lot of great musicians, Randy Castillo, Randy Rhodes, Tommy Aldridge, Jake E Lee, Mike Inez, Geezer Butler and himself, better list than any band would have and still I would say Bob Daisley was my favourite and in my opinion, the best of them. He wrote so much and still was snubbed, now it is a complete proof that RRHOF is a goddamn joke, and the point I stop giving a damn.
Coming to the song, it is easy on bass, and Bob proves himself as the master, the accents are so great, unparelleled. The bass goes on its own regardless of the other instruments for the most part. Almost thought of covering the song with vocals, but have to say, Joe Lynn Turner is a legend, it is hard to get it on vocals. Great drums by Anders Johansson (covering a song from another band of his, hammerfall, next week), great keyboards by the god of the gods on keyboard, Jens Johansson and ofcourse the maestro Yngwie Malmsteen, does some of his best work on this one.
This one is easily the best ensemble an album ever had with the five names mentioned above, maybe tied with long live rock n roll by rainbow. Epic album in every sense.
Easy song on bass, but requires practice to get the accents correctly. Figured out the tabs by isolating the bass from the song.
