- Here are my DIY glass aquarium lids and how I made them! They're sliding lids and I made one for each tank in my fish room. This is part of the "fish room beautification project" that I've been working on, I should have done this a long time ago!

I think your Idea is Great I just spent $79.00 and hate the lid I made so I am going to redo it with Your Idea. Thank you very much.
Drill a hole. The hole can be used as a feeding hole so you dont have to open the lid. Large enough for your finger. Ive been using polycarb lids forever and built lids this exact same way.
From the look of the glass, I am wondering if this can be done with picture frame glass? It's usually cheap and already cut to different sizes.

Only bad thing about spray painting them that can flake off and get in the water
I can't find any specific information on the vinyl molding because I don't know what it's called. 😭 I had to take a couple of screenshots and hope I can get help at the store.
