Incredible voices, I don't really know the band but I wasn't expecting them to be that good.
native japanese speaker here and i can tell you that i understand what they are singing. at the start it took a few times watching to understand what they are singing (mostly cos i have hearing problems tbh...) but as the song continued on it was able to be fully understood and easily ANY native speaker can hear it. it wasn't that bad at all to what people are making it seem, honestly i've heard much much worse lol. they obviously need more time w/practice but it's enough that they were trying to sing in a foreign language and especially for their fans who love them. it's wonderful to see different languages bring people together. i'm appreciative of them singing in my mother tongue! their singing is so outstanding and harmonies, i really love their voices.
It sounds like someone is rolling her "r" at 0:39, and I thought it sounded kind of coarse, especially for a woman.

Learned Japanese for a couple of years and yet I can understand them a bit with my limited skills. Their pronunciation is what they need to work on so chill with the harsh criticisms geesh. Also they can wear whatever the f*ck they want to wear.

Ya’ll expect them to actually sing Japanese word from word. They haven’t sang Wings in full Japanese in awhile and aren’t fully trained to sing it, so we all should not expect them to actually learn it word for word.
But tons of non-english singers who dont know English at all still manage to sing English covers flawlessly just through ear.

Under every video of them singing Japanese (interviews, performances) there’s an endless amount of Japanese folks saying they’re speaking complete gibberish. They need a better translator because this is such an amazing way to connect with fans.

see it is Japanese but with the way they were harmonizing and the pronunciation it sounds weird like they were just putting syllables together its nice that they made a effort to learn the language though
They have an accent so i wouldn't blame them for that lol. It's difficult for many people to sing in another language especially if they don't consistently immerse themselves in it. Take Korean for example. If you sang in Korean I can easily point out your accent and mistakes in your pronunciation.
Weird to hear Japanese with such an English accent. No shade. I'm a kpop fan and I like it when they sing English even if it isn't perfect. It's just I never heard Japanese in such a noticeable different accent before.
They are british and don't speak native japanese, the accents of british eng and japanese are like miles apart ofc it's gonna sound wierd. They were asked to, atleast they slayed the harmonies.
@@avantikaroy5146 As I said, I don't mean it bad towards the girls. I knew it was going to sound "off" to me. That's the reason I clicked the video. I've only heard japanese from actual japanese people or people who studied japanese.
(Most korean artist also study it when the make a japanese debut and their accent are already closer so it's less of a gap). These girls didn't do bad. I could still understand words and I don't speak japanese (only know a couple of words)

Did y'all really think they could sing Japanese perfectly? Of course not, especially because it's a language that is THAT different from European ones. Like we all try our best at speaking other languages like French or Spanish and that's way easier and I'm sure I don't sound perfect in that.
