You can train yourself classically - look up breathing techniques, etc. The "whistle tone" can (and usually eventually will) absolutely ruin your vocals since it uses a lot of your throat muscles and isn't typically pushed from the diaphragm. This is the main reason Mariah Carey's register isn't as high anymore. Please be careful and take care of your chords! You can always drop the song a few keys if you ever wanna use it as an audition song or anything. I hope you can get your soprano range back. ❤️
@@theresajean if I ever truly put in the effort, I shall do that. I don't sing the song often, and it doesn't hurt the saying. I just cut out when it gets the high note because I know I can't hit it. However, thanks for your advice. I know this works because I used to take vocal lessons myself. Good to see some good information out there.
I was singing this song and my dad came into my room and told me there was a fire truck, ambulance and police car out-front of are apartment assisting a persons apartment close next door …scary *huh?*
Same!!! I’m trying to find more songs to sing and practice my higher/whistle notes with. I’m turning 14 soon so I figured now would be a great time to start working on that because I want start doing professional singing some time within the next few years.
I can literally sing every other part EXCEPT for the high note arpeggio before the "a melody floats through the air, when silence falls, does no one care?" TvT
Soprano here! I’m doing this next year for acting districts and I am looking forward to it! I’m also doing a Phantom ensemble so it will be really fun! Update: I’m going to State with this!
You can still be an also if you can hit high notes, I'm a mezzo soprano (middle female range) and my highest note I've ever hit is a C7, but my comfortable range is the upper 3rd and lower 5th octave, and my voice has a generally lower tone.
Hello !! So I'm making a speedpaint of Jane Doe, and I was wondering if I could use this recording for some background music. Obviously you'd be completely credited. I make no money off the videos I make, so there would be no financial gain for myself.
I have a really hard time singing this as a mezzo so that's fun.. I still love the song and I'm gonna get better at singing i! I've never been that more positive in practicing ANYTHING.
i wish i wasn't an alto just so i could sing this song without constantly being in headvoice
trust me no one is gonna be singing this song in anything but their head register
Soprano here, I don’t know about other people but I have to sing this in head voice. This is very operatic.
@@SealifeSaviorsAssociation Yeah, I think it sounds better in head voice tbh
This type of song sounds much better in head tbh
I think she song belongs in your mixed range
Well, looks like my whistle register crashed. I’m a little bit upset that I can’t do this song decently, but I’m still gonna sing it for fun.
I know I don't have the range for this either so that's my plan too 😁

Idk how or why, but I can sing this in the original key. I'm a man.
I'm an alto I think but I love this too much not to try
Me thinking I was an alto before finding out that I can hit almost all of it 🙃

I can hit all of it but am still considered an alto because I really don’t know (my voice is comfortable all through my range)
