@@steverhodesvideos6244I've visited SF and that didn't look like Lombard St. It looked straight to me. Eventually, the '50 Ford was replaced with a '57 Dodge.
The main suspect character first the voice of Hans Connery and I remember the intro music to this program and I was only four years old I guess I was around at that time even if it was for a while happy watching
@Rschreck== Thanks again== 1951 FORD POLICE CAR in that last 3rd year of that body style then the 1952 tru 1956 restyled body shape allthough the 1955/56 was slightly SHARPER IN EDGES!!!! Notice NO SMASH & GRABBERZ backing up the LONE THIEF (because the LAW PENALTYS WERE ROUGH)****
I remember watching Hans Conreid in a film about kids and piano lessons on this huge piano that took all the kids to play. He was great in that really silly but entertaining flick. Don’t know the name of it though.
The old B & W episodes are too god. They don’t make like this anymore. Never get tired of watching them. Thanks from India
Thanks. Nice to see the Herschel Burke Gilbert music credit.
18:17-18:32 ... might have come from one of the Capitol libraries.
Quite a surprise to see "Uncle Tonoose" in a police drama!
Originally telecast on October 7, 1955.
Thanks for posting this fascinating glimpse into the way that life once was!!!
Thank you for the ad-free upload! A show I'd never heard of before. 😊
Your welcome. My channel isn’t monetized, so any ad you may come across is not from me, but from copyright holders or UA-cam itself.
Not ad free here...
Top episode with a great performance from Hans conried in a guest performance.
Macbeth the way I always heard it in my ear.... 🕯
Remember Hans on Gillian's Island? 😃
Great show! The intro and outro music was unmistakable and you saw the 1950 Ford police car coming up the hill before making a left turn.
It then heads down Lombard, the crookedest street in the world, if my guess is right!

Hans Conried-he used to do a lot of cartoon voices in the 50s and 60s, like Captain Hook and Snidely Whiplash.
@@rschreck Before that, he was a mainstay of old time radio in the 40s and 50s, and starred in the 1953 film "The Twonky".

I liked Hans Conried in his "Fractured Flickers" episodes.

The 5000 Fingers of Dr T. Story by Dr Seuss
They sure do smoke a lot on these black and white shows.
I Liked This 👍 Story 😊
I spy the voice of Peyton Place is Matthews wine and that’s a fine catch
Warner Anderson, who played Lt. Ben Guthrie in this series, later was in the Peyton Place TV series in the 60s.
If it's got Hans Conreid in it, you are going to see some good acting.
Hans Conreid is great in the cameo....
I enjoy seeing Hans Conried..
I guess nylon stocking masks were a new thing back then, as the victims/witnesses seem to be totally mystified by them.
His Mother 👩 Is Going To Be Unhappy
Superb.
Opening scene with a brunette beauty, can't go wrong. 😃
$300 in the cash register in 1955 would be worth about $3400 today
Detectives, the left brake light is out on your old Ford!
Not a good episode
