My favorite from this album, but man I felt all of this when I first heard it especially that Chorus. Even tho I haven’t been through what he’s been through but that Chorus hit me in so many ways.
"So lonely and cold, it's like something takes over me as soon as I go home and close the door...kinda feels like deja vu, I wanna get away from this place I do, but I can't and I won't...say I try but I know that's a lie cause I don't, and why..I just don't knowww" Anyone battling addiction can relate to this. Myself included. You wanna go home and just eat and chill after work but you're lonely af inside so you drink/do drugs to fend off the depressed part of your brain that controls you. Life's rough. Such a dope breakdown of the struggle.
Great stuff as usual Mr. Knight.I'm 56yrs old and this is the most rap i've listened to in my life. I'm amazed with what these guys can do with the english language.Correct me if i'm wrong(most likely I am) but the cadence through the verses sounds like his moment of clarity while the chorus sounds like the morning after a bender. Also, big ups for using the word Spaz in in proper context. Never thought i'd live long enough to hear a black man use that word. Now you start using "Chucklehead", i'm just going to go site in the corner in a fetal position ;)
This song helped me to realize that maybe all my heavy thoughts weren't normal. I lived years in automatic, I did the basics to keep living but my existence was empty... When I heard this song opened my eyes that it wasn't normal and my life was at risk like he was from different issues but alike.
Yeah for sure. Especially when he says "Wow wtf happened last night? Where am I? Fuck am I hungover, and god damn I, got a headache. Shit, half a vicodin, why cant I? All systems ready for take off. Please stand by." I was caught in that cycle. I never had thought I had a problem with pills or cocaine. I thought it was the alcohol. So I'd wake up and take a vicodin or perk to feel better, then once i felt better I'd hit the liquor store. And then once i had a buzz I'd do some coke to counteract the pills and alcohol. And I did that shit everyday for 2 years until this song finally set In.

Cold wind blows ..... Love this joint
He did it already
@@ramiza.3rebeh955 yes, ik i was saying the vibe is the same.
@@dvwgystyle2705 cold wind blows was supposed to be on relapse 2, which never came out
The beats are almost identical
Relapse and eminem show are my favs. Thanks knight for this one
As someone who also OD'd on pain killers and was super depressed for a while, i related so hard to this track. It paints a perfect picture for you
Awesome video man. This is one of my favorite songs from him. i listen to it whenever I feel stuck
Man, I love this song, and never caught that Half-Time double.
And I had never thought about the wine part.
How do you measure what a half of a cup of wine is when you don't specify what type of 'vessel' you are drinking from? At my worst I was drinking from a mason jar. I told myself I was having just a half of a cup. Of a fucking MASON JAR. 🤦
My all time favorite as I've been waiting for this one for ages
Hailey really did find him on they bathroom floor, overdosed . 😪
Thank you! This is one of my all time favorite songs. I wish you played the “mr mathers” intro first tho to add to the effect.
em's flow on relapse is his best work bruh, sure most of the songs are dark and give serial killer vibes, but his flow is better than all of his albums imo
Bruh and the rhyme schemes tho. 2nd verse of Stay Wide Awake with like 15+ lines that rhymes 7-8 syllables consecutively
@@mattvespa4262 if yoi sit down and map it out and match words and fit them to the snares its actually easier than you think, it takes longer to do it while saying things and that's why eminem was jist rapping about random violence on that song, the song legacy on the other hand, had content and the same rhyme scheme in all 3 verses
This is my favourite album, or very close with Marshall Mathers LP.
@@bensmiley7042 you can clearly feel how he optimised his skills with each new album that came out. On relapse he struggled back to get to his former abilities and on this level developed till mtbm his rhyming skills to his maximum. It seems that now he's concentratin too much on the technical aspect thou cause I miss the TES vibe on his newer works.
I think the delivery was the worst part of relapse apart from a few exceptions.
Thank You for reacting to my fav Em Song
Go to sleep by eminem is one of eminems hardest songs, worth a listen if you havent heard it yet
He did, its on patreon. There was a poll on what video to release from his patreon page and it didn't make it
this song always hits me in the feels man. Jamming to Eminem playlist and this comes on
U should done "carefull what you wish for" After this... It kinda goes along with this
Thank you so much for the work ethic Stevie. I know it gets hard to get so many requests all the time and it feels like it's never enough. Appreciate you and your content man. Hope god's blessing you. 🙏🏼
the ones who doesnt strugled with addiction and i hope never will, cant comprehend how real this song is
And ‘My Darling’
One of my favorite tracks! Good choice man love the contents!!
Man, and what’s so crazy is that a huge part of his fan base was experiencing these same kind of things with him... I’m ashamed to say sometimes that I’m still on the ride.
You got this brother. Sending love man
Finally. Thank you so much, Stevie. This song means a lot
You gotta do “Undergound” which is the last song from the Relapse album. Lyrical masterpiece!
Going through changes, deja vu, beautiful, arose/Castle, all beautiful songs
Em's bars are his mental health therapy sessions, getting to his most painful core, and sharing for others who may be going through similar feelings, but can't afford a therapist.
Spot on with the prime candidate being a positive thing, so it's a great juxtaposition.
Additional, i think there's also a link between running for State office (manic state) and being a prime candidate.
People don't know how good this song is. How real he is. So many can relate. Amazing..
Bro, I've been waiting for you to come across this one. Hell yeah. Thanks for all the content man. Showin love from Indiana. ✌
One of, if not my, favorite Em song ever, so many dope schemes and hidden rhymes, that shit was ELITE flat out crazy
one of my absolute favorites from Em. I always loved it from the first time I heard it, but once I, myself was struggling with addiction and trying to quit, this song hit me that much harder, and it helped me a lot to get through the struggles and out the other side
They actually found him overdosed on the bathroom floor of his house. At the hospital they said a couple more hours and he'd be dead.
this might be my favorite song of Em's. brilliant stuff
one of the realest songs em has put out...i will keep saying relapse is severely underrated and one of his best albums (imo)
Deja Vu is really slept on, been waiting for this
This is why I am a Stan, who else gives it all. The good, bad and the ugly.
Yo Stevie Just wanted to say congrats on being sober a year as I just hit a full eight years sober this past November 6th... it's just one day, one hour, one minute, one second at a time. Keep it up my dude and I'm a huge fan by the way.. definitely appreciate all your hard work!! -Mo
Relapse is one of his most lyrical albums he has ever done
My favorite from this album, but man I felt all of this when I first heard it especially that Chorus. Even tho I haven’t been through what he’s been through but that Chorus hit me in so many ways.
Exactly, you can feel his confusion u know
It was stated that if the paramedics didn’t arrived in 30 or 10 (don’t know which one) minutes, Em would’ve been dead....
He says 30 min in another song, either Going Through Changes or Arose I think.
"So lonely and cold, it's like something takes over me as soon as I go home and close the door...kinda feels like deja vu, I wanna get away from this place I do, but I can't and I won't...say I try but I know that's a lie cause I don't, and why..I just don't knowww"
Anyone battling addiction can relate to this. Myself included. You wanna go home and just eat and chill after work but you're lonely af inside so you drink/do drugs to fend off the depressed part of your brain that controls you. Life's rough. Such a dope breakdown of the struggle.
I haven't listened to em for a long time, it makes me wonna listen to him again
This one of my favorite songs. The beat, his flow, the truth behind what he's saying about himself can apply to a lot of us.
I think it's actually "Deja Vu", but you know, it still reads....
This has always been one of my favorites. Love the album. Love the chorus. Love the song.
sup Stevie do Eminem-going through changes, I'ts like a sequel for this song or something. maybe i'm wrong but sounds to have a connection! dope song
I never minded the accents on this album, the rhyme patterns and flows and content are straight fire
"you know i dont listen to beat with eminem" proceeds to let the beat ride out and nod along, yeah okay stevie
Yeah this is a sick track. I agree.
So glad. You've made it to relapse and started with Deja vu. Now I can watch it but I wanted to thank you first, I hope you cought that gene bar.
“Talkin 2 myself” gotta be next
One of the goats this one
Hey stevie, please do beautiful from relapse too. Love from India
" see me and you we almost had the same outcome. Heath". When I first heard I thought he was saying "he"
RIP Heath Ledger
@@cryptotrippin Hard to watch any of his movies. His Joker is some of the most amazing acting I've ever seen, yet I can barely watch it. Damn.
They both OD'd around the same time, Heath died and Em made it through. It was a pretty big wake up call for him at the time.
This is a really hot take, but I would put Deja Vu in Em’s top 2 songs. (Along with Bad Guy.)
I would only add “No Apologies” to ure top2 and make a fire top 3 !!
Finally my favorite song from relapse!!
Relapse/Refill an all time Em album. Only fake fans don't appreciate the raps structure and flows he has throughout the album. Some of his best work ever.
The Relapse Album has been and is still slept on. It's one of my favorite.
React to "Hello" and "Underground" both from the Relapse album.
"Hes acting weird again hes really beginning to scare me" ..."wont shave his beard again and he pretends he doesnt hear me"...aka weird beard 😂👌.
Nice and I like your profile pic
@@joeltherealone thanks bro.
tbh he said it in like at least 3 songs lol
He said something about weird beards in Business too. And another song I can't think of rn.
@@FiryaFYI 😂👌
The crazy thing is any addict has those same conversations with themselves, always trying to rationalize why you doing what you doing. Shit Em has saved me, literally with his music I been down the same road and his music has helped me through my addiction problem I've been sober for 8 years and his music was a big help through my recovery, he has a song for every step you go through addiction. This song, going through changes, Talking to myself, Not afraid, Beautiful Pain, Arose the list goes on. That's why I will always support him no matter what,💯
Lets go good job!!!❤
People can say what they want but I loved this album.
Been waiting on this one. It got me through recovery. 2 and a half years clean and making grown man moves!
