If he hadn't missed most of the 1952 season and all of the 1953 season he might have passed Ruth on the all-time home runs list.

The greatest baseball player of all time. Willie Mays could hit (3,283 base hits), hit for power (660 home runs, 1909 RBIs), run the bases (336 steals) and play the field (12 Gold Gloves).

Willie could hit not only for power but for a career 301. He had speed with over 300 stls, 1st man in the 30 30 club, 12 GG so defense he. The combination of speed, power and hand & eye cornation at the plate and running the bases which he had over 2000 runs and drove in over 1900 makes he better all around player then Babe offensive. Defensive with the speed and glove (invented the basket catch) and arm also makes him better then Babe. Babe is a icon, but like Stephen A said he would have broke Babe HR record both Hank.

Great baseball player I heard you tell the story that just imagine playing baseball with diversity racism way back then it's not way back then, my point to you is the same way you doing Caitlin Clark Willie Mays was great he did not get the recognition we can even say Ray Charles black people in general let alone the famous athletes sports players singers artists actors actresses, how couldn't use the bathroom couldn't stay here and it's no different than how you're doing this Kayla Clark they always had the recognition, and how do you turn it all around because you're saying she's white that is not true in my opinion you can't stay here, and the same way they're using that you can't stay here you have to go to the back door the way she's being endorsed play the platforms are getting all behind her it's the same way in a way the negative stuff you hear about the other black players with that's not getting their recognition put some respect on Black Culture because without those Willie Mays I'm a Ray Charles to the black athletes now today my point Richardson track runner nothing in her system now she been did it like that what are those gold medals came from they showed up and showed out this weekend and it's always been like that but don't get the recognition they deserved it is my opinion my opinion

You talk about individual stats from individual players No single person living ever puts up all those numbers. Maybe in the future, but Mays was the greatest all around. Mays and Nolan Ryan were in the league together from 69-73, but I don't know if he had a hit off Ryan. Correction: Mays had three AB against Ryan, but no hits, no strikeouts and no walks, so he probably made contact outs.
