This has been tremendously helpful for me as for I am doing my first ever mock trial in school, and hopefully what I learnt today will come in handy, I don't want to be a witness so I am aiming for the role of the prosecutor or defender.

Very helpful for trial practice! Though, a plane losing cabin pressure will not cause it to crash. So, point number 6: make sure your opening statement contacts accurate information. If anyone on that stand is a pilot or aircraft mechanic, the attorney just lost considerable credibility.

It's hard to conceptualize something is impossible and argument behind something like that must be air-tight.
Woow are you allowed to use prior consistent statement in opening in America? / Is the lawyer allowed to give evidence instead of the witnesses?
+AJ Bartram No, it can lead to bias even before the facts of the case has been presented. I think it's best, and it most likely is best to introduce the witnesses first, as it is informative and unbiased.
You are allowed to talk about the Evidence so long as you have good faith belief that it will be admitted. During an opening statement you're supposed to tell the story persuasively without making an arguement.
