100 degrees is normal for v6, because it is pressurised, it can go up to 124 degrees, but for your comfort, best to change the 92 thermostat to a tropen Thermostat that opens on 83 degree. Most radiators are clogged and V6 radiator is not the same as the 2 liter radiators, but pogo performance provides a real good one.
@@TheMeisner87 www.clubcalibra.net/v6calibra/index.htm is a good site with good info about the cooling, There is a 3 pinn connector in the radiator, 1 is the ground, 1 is fan step 1 and 1 is step 2, by curcuit braking, the fan should work, also the banjosensor can be tested like this, banjosensor is continu voltage, other sensor is schalted power
I changed to tropen thermostat (open at 84 degrees) and also changed the radiator temp sensor so that the fans kick in sooner. Now my v6 stays below 100 degrees, about 96 degreed most of the time also in warm weather
The right can't be found, the upper one is possible to build one of Vectra B V6 and lengthen it, or gema motorsport has the upper one. Also searching for the Right one.
The upper i had it made for my last calibra from scratch. But it came like oem one and it wasent expensive.I found one store that offers right ones for other engines.I have to see if they have it for v6.
@@TheMeisner87 theres not one com0lete teardown of my model. I also have the same german import 4 cyl with racing head,2inch exhaust, coney shocks and suspension ,stabillizers. Rats ate the wiring out but i paid 1000 dollars for the car just to get a headlight(angel eye) lol.
such a nice engine... nice video
Thank you🙂
Nice video thanks 👍
Thanks for the good words 🙂
I have one with unknown service history. Purchased the car 2016 and still going with the same timing belt kit :D
Why you havent changed it?Testing what happens when belt break?
@@TheMeisner87 nah ill wait till it snaps and then go for 3 liter engine
@@Aabohax ok when you have this kind a plans then yes,but better choice would be to sell a working 2.5 l engine and the. Install the 3l engine.
@@TheMeisner87 2.5 engines go for around 50€ here :D literal trash
@@Aabohax where do you live where that engine is so cheap?

I have to check the thermostat also yes but do you know how to test the fan switch.Maybe that is broken.

Calibra v6 muito bom, aqui no brasil so teve o 2.0 16v motor c20xe
Yes v6 is a good engine and with good sound😉
How much time do the mechanic expend in the change of the timing belt?
It was over 2 hours.
Is this the german made 1996. Ye?
What do you mean by that?
@@TheMeisner87 i have a calibra v6 2.5 c25xe 1996 ye. Im in Australia and its known as a full german import.
@@mikerobo2112 I didn’t know that.My car was built in Finland and was sold to Switzerland and from there it came to Estonia.

I think this is C25Xe not X25xe
C25XE was made until end of the 1994 and from 1995 came the X25XE.I’ve checked the marking on the block.
