Its raining a lot today, so I parked my car somewhere random on campus, locked myself in my car, played this car full blast while the seat is all the way down & a blanket covering me as I was the rain drops fall on my window shield. Class won't start for another 30 minutes so I'm playing this song while contemplating on some heavy decisions I have to make.
I hope you made good choices and it worked out for you in the end.

I logged in to my youtube on my desktop today and saw this notification. I'm not sure what decisions I had to make then but I'm so grateful to be where I am now since 2 months after I posted that comment on this video I had a rare hemmoragic stroke on May 19th of 2014. I nearly lost my life and was told I'd never walk again. It's January 16th, 2015 and I am walking almost normally and I can draw/write again. Thank you for being kind, you never know the hardships people are facing. :)

An hour before I heard this song for the first time, I heard four gunshots outside my window. I instantly got the chills when the song opened with those first three lines.

Overhearing domestic violence in my neighbors place, heard 2 loud bangs amoungst other loud sounds, thought it was gunfire for a moment. As I'm chilling out after hearing all of the abuse (sounded like the prelude to a murder scene) I HEARD THIS SONG LITERALLY WITHIN NEXT HOUR as well.

So refreshing to hear a male vocal that is in a lower tonality. I'm reminded only of Dead Can Dance approaching the same kind of mood created here. Songs expressing the subject of death to me reflect an encouraging hope the youthful musicians continue to have a mature sensitivity to meaningful music. The video is a powerful film of deep narrative, the kind seen only back in the 80's, also refreshing and emotion provoking. I thank these gifted artists and am inspired.
Grateful that my geeking out over Twin Peaks brought me to this music. Yes, Windom Earle brought me here, and he seems to still be stuck in a Black Lodge-fueled limbo nightmare.

This is a great song and a great duo. I had never heard of them before last weekend when I saw them at House of Blues and I gotta say I was blown away by their performance. The music may be dark, but if you see him perform you see that the music comes from an honest place.
In a year that's already packed with great videos, this is one of the best.

childhood's end indeed. nostalgia is one of the most painful emotions of all. I want to be in the snow, free from it... "our fate, it is sealed...at birth we made a deal." I believe this is true. I don't want to suffer to be released. I found out my childhood best friend committed suicide recently. I am so bereft and adrift. I am willing to suffer emotionally, but I draw the line at physical incurable agony.
