This combo of motomax rubbing compound. matt polish and a cheap buffing machine is perfect for mu bike paint maintenance. I have a royal enfield Intercepto650 in downtown drag colour, which is matt black finish. It's hard to take care of a matt paint job, hence this toolkit which is cheap and works well.

Hii dheeraj , I suggest you to use 3m 1step finish compound next time , its quite better than this moto max rubbing compound . I use the 3m rubbing compound on my interceptor mark 3 and the results are quite amazing .

I think we should not do compounding on matte surfaces since it might make it shiny and it wont look good. Moreover, frequent use of it can remove complete paint lacquer.

Your concern is valid, but that’s not how matt finish works.
My bike still looks as matt as day 1.
Too much compounding can wear off paint thickness hence should be done after long intervals.
