Rattle cans are so easy and nice to use , once you got the proper colour is just about spraying , no maintenance or cleaning problems as with the airbrush (except if like me you’ve accidentally painted your furniture , tiles and curtains while happily spraying around ) 😮
Hi Andy. Your doing alright. Your doing a lot more parts now , which is good and your experimenting. Some tips for you. When you do rubber parts use Vellejo black grey or Revell Anthracite colour. Black is to harsh. The same with the tracks , try using Vellejo black brown or German camoflage dark brown. Then you can do a wash with a sandy brown like burnt sand , then finally do a dry brush with Iraqui sand or similar colour. Your shovel looks good but don't forget the the strap across the back of the blade should be the same colour as the tank. The tow cables and jack can be done two ways. Normally these were sprayed over on the tank so they would be the same colour as the tank. Then the paint would wear off or chip showing the black underneath. The other way is to paint them black and then use a pencil to gently rub over them to show a metallic sheen. The eyelets on the ends of the cables would be the base yellow colour. The exhausts would be done in flat earth and then washed over with a dark brown and then dry brushed with a light brown and even a touch of orange. On this model pastels will really help to empart a dusty appearance. With the figure , well you,ve already done the white so now go on with the black from his feet blowing upwards. Then do the base skin colour. Now using very thinned down acrylics put on several layers of the uniform colour. Allow each layer to dry before applying the next. You will be suprised with the results. Final touch will be a sandy wash on him and a darker wash on his face and hands. Give it a go. See what you get. Oh , I got my Forog Shackleton last night , I am very pleased. There will be plenty of work on this one. Good luck bud.
You must be happy with it Andy, much easier to get a great result with armour than those flying things. I have loved the PzIIIL since building the Matchbox 1/76 kit as a nipper.
Ģood morning from the dawn patrol, the sky is still humbrol Matt 33 as I discover your DAK panzer going along well . If I was to build a tank in 1/35 I’d probably go for Tamiya cause the kit looks really well enginereed . It seems you’re doing well with all those wheels and sprokets. Are these tracks some kind of rubber ? A good tuesday to everyone !
AS MY OLD GIRLFRIEND USES TO TELL ME "SLOW AND STEADY,YOU ARE GETTING THERE'.THE TANK IS LOOKING GOOD,MODEL LOOK BETTER WITH WEAR AND TEAR ON THEM.REMEMBER SAND IS ABRASIVE AND SANDSTORMS WERE COMMON IN DESERT WARFARE.TAKE CARE ANDY
Tell your boss you have more important things to do and can he just send the paycheck at the end of the month and buzz off please. If he doesn’t comply well then you can stiil take a break from u tube , you’ve been posting a lot already and you have a right to a christmas break because (the front is always quiet on christmas anyway )
Your nearly there Andy, not much left now, really looking forward to seeing it completed, thanks again for sharing
