It was exactly 20years ago. My father was pissed off each time I listened black metal: "How can you enjoy this kind of music, it's only noise!" On the same year, I bought the greatest hits albums of The Ventures and Dick Dale. Then came the day my father told me: "Hey, I need you to pick up a car. Here the keys of the convertible and drive me to the garage." I said: "Okay, let's me grab one CD." Brought my The Ventures - Greatest Hits album and put in the radio. My father said: "I hope this is not your f*cking metal noise!" After a couple of seconds, he said: "What!! You like The Ventures too!! I used to listen when I was young. But I got rid of all those stuff. Woah, I didn't expect you liking this kind of music." Every metalhead likes surf rock, it's a fact.
its true i love dick dale and i play guitar and i scream and only play minor power chords while i black metal i just love all guitar man love piano too, real metal has at least one piano interlude on their albums its like, the patterns of notes that are interesting not the distortion and the screaming and the instruments
7/8 songs actually done already ua-cam.com/play/PLJXMOKcMUq1R1qliF-QxBr_QchqnJDIUy.html but wolf and the night will be difficult to translate to surf drums. Kinda more tempted to do Under the Sign of the Black Mark currently.
the lack of distortion (said because i do not know what pedals created your buttery tone) really brings the technique to the surface. you're a great guitar player, I only wanna see what comes from you instead of the artists you cover (even though i love Ulver). Great stuff!
@@MessiahofFire oh ok, if you could try to add like one of the skyrim bard songs, i think itd be a cool adition like hopefully its in the right key tho. Idk just a thought
When you're trve cvlt but feeling those summer vibes
😂👌
It's like Pulp Fiction but in Norway
Pvlp Fiction

Not every. Nordic Black Metal is sort of like Surf Rock but opting for Eurofolk instead of Country and Latin though.

It's because we like The Munsters
yeah, this guy gets it. Fathers are a tough bunch, but we take our connections where we can find em.
Incredibile.
If "Blackened Surf Rock" could just become a thing, I would be so happy.
Reminds me of the Munsters. Greatest black and white tv show of all time
Svrf rock
The Growlers are a good bad who used to be "beath goth" genre
of wolf and the beach
I've always love Ulver and especially Nattens Madrigal and this is a sublime cover
Nice!
Håvard Jørgensen!
Love this. Really showcases the melodic value of the song hiding beneath the (beautiful) noise of the original. Bravo 👏
Beautiful - this takes on a whole new tone of melancholy.

Surf
Stuck in my head for weeks
Wave .I. - Surf and fear..
I am a mandolin player that plays eastern European folk music, and this is exactly the music i want to play and preform.
stunning work, listened to it about 20 times in a row. Part starting 2:12 is the best
I'll buy the album remake!
Let Wolf be with you, thats awesome!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Adam driver
this is sick, it works well.
Whaoh !!!! So great !!!!!
Madrigal of the waves
A wolf on surfboard !
That'd be sick for like,a Sludge Metal album
Best surf guitar player
I would love to hear Alcest - Écailles de Lune Part II or any track by Agalloch in this style 😀
Outstanding!
As a brazilian fan, I can say... Do it more!
Beautiful cover I really really enjoy it

Muy Bueno!

SALUDOS DESDE ECUADOR!
A w e s o m e 👍👍👍
Weirdly cool, what are thoose weird sounds that sometimes would come out, anyone know?
Spring reverb overreacting to loud sections.
@@MessiahofFire oh ok, if you could try to add like one of the skyrim bard songs, i think itd be a cool adition like hopefully its in the right key tho. Idk just a thought
The sound of the splashes from his surf board duuuh -_- smh
@@Rolly.Polly. lol thats great
Yeah, its reverb, and it turned out to be a distinctive sound, a musical cliche/arrangement for this kind of music.
This is some good shit🤘
Muito bom Papai
Eternal Waves Ov Desolation 🏝️🌘
Freaking love it! Suscribe.
Wolf surfer
Ahahh thanks for the laughs.
this sounds like ULTRAVOX.
Lmaooo this is great
Можно mp3?)
Плз)
My only critique is : NOT ENOUGH SPRING REVERB!!!
Wolf and California surfer
funny thing is that surf metal is for real more kvlt in comparison with black metal
So, is this a cover of an actual Surf instrumental or just a Black metal tune converted into Surf?
black metal song turned into surf
the latter: it's a cover of the first song on Nattens Madrigalen by Ulver
Ole
better than the original
Anyone done Black Metal as 80s Rock yet?
not 100% sure... but black magic ss has blended 70s hard-rock with 80s synth wave and black metal-ish vocals on their "rainbow nights" album
No bass ?
its still there, just didn't record video since nobody cares about bass
@@MessiahofFire tbh without bass it would be more accurate lol
