    CSA stands for Confederate States of America & not Confederate States Army. I am a native Georgian & had family who fought & died for the Confederacy. One of my Great Great Grandfathers also fought in the War of 1812.

      @danhutson3460 - I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment . I too have multiple ancestors that fought in the Civil War. I’ve literally seen CSA as both “Army” and “America” written out on Headstones. I believe there are examples of that in my videos. But, you are correct when referring to VA issued headstones. The modern VA Headstones have the Southern Cross of Honor and CSA. I have seen some original government issued headstones that have “Confederate States Army” written out. I think it just depended on the mason that actually made the stone. Here, I am using “Army” in recognition of the veteran’s service rather than the historical ideology of the Confederacy, unless written out differently.
