Not really all of Helghan, just Stahl. He wanted Earth destroyed. Visari and Orlock just wanted Helghast to be safe from attack and get revenge on Vekta for attacking Helghan the first time around.
I prefer Orlock, he was a real Helghast patriot, Stahl was out for himself, and that cost Helghan everything. Crossbones6732 I don’t think Visari should have died in Killzone 2 I think he should have been used in the opening of Killzone 3 as a battering chip to allow all ISA forces to evacuate Helghan and still take Visari to Vekta for trail then the Helghast Attack Vekta to rescue Visari. Doesn’t that sound more interesting?
Eh, they should have saved both Visari and Radec for other parts of the series. The competition between Orlock and Stahl was interesting, but they were both a bit predictable.
The ISA made the helghast how they are. vekta was the homeplanet of helghast. before killzone 1 ISA conquered vekta because the helghast refused to pay taxes to earth and wanted to become independend. after the quickly won war they send them to helghan which was more like an exile. they led them starve and die there so it was easy for scolar visari to gain power as he promised to regain their homeland vekta. here starts killzone 1.
Seeing as how Stalh planned to commit genocide against Earth whereas the ISA's genocide was accidental... I'm going to have to disagree with you there.
This is one of those storylines in which there is no good, nor bad guy: The Helghast are all like Nazi's and committing genocide. Sure. But they are only doing that for revenge after the rest of humanity forced them off their homeworld. Then committed genocide on the Helghast on their own world again.
So in the first game when they invaded, they weren't just killing everyone they saw? Because last a checked, those construction workers were just doin' some work and died.

@@AtemiRaven Killing those construction workers wasn't genocide. You never heard of Helghast mass murder of Vektan citizens anyware. So no, the Helghast did not commit genocide, but the ISA did when they nuked Helghan. They began to charge a search and rescue, and station useage fee for colonies on the other side of Helghan (the system is Helghan) and Earth just... Flipped their shit at this. They did so in a fairly brutal method, as to be frank, that's what the UCN and later the ISA shaped the Helghast into. boohoo the ISA beat the shit out of the helghast, so what, do you think the helghast being a genocidal dictatorship is better? Fucking nationalists lmao

Well they won the war. The ISA did capitulate. It still baffles me how a ragtag group of Soldiers managed to do what the ENTIRE ISA military could not. Serious plot armour on the ISA for that. In reality the ISA would have been obliterated and the rescue operation in an earlier part of the game would have failed miserably and they would have wiped the ISA scum off the planet.
I hope Killzone gets one more sequel. Give them a chance to make a worthy final Killzone game. Shadow Fall was okay... But it didn't live up to the first 3 at all. The levels were boring as all hell and they got so repetitive. I really hope they make another squeal to finally end off this legendary series.
Love how people are calling this a Halo rip off. Because we all know that Halo is known for an authoritarian regime akin to Nazi's consisting of mutant humans who adapted to another planet that has their own understandable point of view and perspective. Not mention the lack of aliens. Killzone definitely ripped that off. In all seriousness though, I get how influential Halo was and how the first Killzone was toted as a Halo killer. But is any sci fi fps game just a ripoff of Halo? People said the same fucking thing about Crysis 2. The funny thing is that a major difference between Halo and Killzone is that whereas the villains sucked in Halo and the protagonists were the likable characters. Killzone is the opposite. The main heroes are boring, and the villains are badass. Radec, Visari, Stahl, and Adams are all badass characters. I understand their motivations and respect them despite disagreeing with them. But the Covenant? Boring as all hell. Generic alien monsters who do what they're told and take orders from the Prophets. Who are just some religious zealots who control as all religious zealots do. The only interesting alien character was the Arbiter. But whatever, I'm gonna go play the true sci fi epic of gaming.... Mass Effect.

Say what you want about killzone shadow fall, but it represented the ISA-Helghast conflict for what trully is, a cycle of hatred where the general populace suffer while the leaders on both sides incite hatred in order to gain power (for example: sinclair (ISA) and visari (helghast).

His head should also be sent more upwards judging from the angle Stahl's final hit has. Agreed to both of the comments. Its unfortunate that Killzone went from a high UP in Killzone 2 to such a low with Killzone 3. The seriousness and grittiness was completely removed. The multiplayer was simplified and they tried to cater to the COD fans. Hopefully Killzone 4 takes another turn. For the sake of us Killzone fans and for the sake of the First person shooter genre
Damn this is what the Helghast planned for Earth and its allied colonies. It's unfortunate that the Helghast were destroyed, but this scene might've played out on many more planets if Stahl had succeeded.
I think that's the message that Guerilla Games is trying to convey with the plot of Killzone. The problem is that so many fans (including myself) get way too emotionally attached to either side that it sort of distorts that message. I hope that in Shadow Fall, we get to see a more sympathetic look at both the ISA and the Helghast so that we can see both their good sides and their bad sides.
@mw2truehacker While the eye colour could hint at the possibility of the real Visari still alive, the idea of it being stahl is more realistic. If you pause, the shadow looks like stahl.the soldiers at the pod, are Stahl's soldier and refer to him as "sir".The eye colour could have just been something overlooked by the devs. Also, the nuke being launched at the ship and stahl seeing it was rather cinematic, meaning it might not have been showing accurate timing.
@donda2111 Actually, he's there the whole time just not as a story character. Natko is the second player in co-op and Rico will frequently refer to him as 'Natko'. Maybe they just didn't want to change another voice actor but he's there.
All this talk about whether the Helgan or ISA are good guys makes me think that there are no 'true' good guys in Killzone. Both sides have done terrible things to each other. No side is black or white but both sides are grey.
Actually, It seems the human body has a delayed reaction to the Helghan Air. The ISA were only on Helghan for 6-7 months at the most. I'm guessing the effects may have kicked in after the survivors got back to Vekta. (IF they got back at all)
I think in Killzone 4, Earth forces Vekta to take the remaining Helghast population of Helghan and move them to Vekta. Because of the animosity b/w the two races, the cities are segregated and you can see how the Vektans are prosperous while the Helghast are oppressed and treated as second-class citizens by Vektans. This creates an insurgent group among the Helghast determined to topple the oppressors (Vektan Military/ Government). That's what I was able to see in the trailer.
I know a lot of people don't like how cheesy and "action movie" Killzone 3 was. I'll agree it's a bit much sometimes. But part of me thinks it was intentional, to encourage players to relax and just have fun shooting evil Higs, finishing with a big spectacle battle where we destroy the doomsday weapon and save Earth, aw yeah! Then show that our big hero moment accidentally causes a near genocide of the Helghast and destruction of Helghan. And we, Rico, Sev and friends, have become the worst war criminals in human history. Oops.
Partly from what i can get from the killzone wiki, and also base on my own reasoning based on what i see from the killzone 3 story and what we currently know about the new shadowfall storyline.
When RICO was calling jammer I Fucking cried. I even paused the cut scene cause I thought she was dead I cried for at least 10 minutes then I unpaused it only to find she was I alive I was so happy cause I fell in love with her from the first part of the game
And? Visari too, Rico kills him, do you remember it? the two are deads, and when Radec is dead you can aim him and the crosshair change to red, like he was alive.
I like how this video can sum up all the tech and equipment both the helghast and the isa have to prove it's at least on par with halo and mass effect stuff, if not better. Despite what a lot of biased people say lol
Visari was in the escape pod. If it was stahl, then the soldiers would have just saluted him, but instead they gave a bow because it was visari. Visari is the supreme commander
Don't worry there will be KZ4 ;) I wonder who "welcome home sir" is directed to.. Visari, Stahl? But remember Stahl dies from the explosion and the 'marine' next to him escapes.... Visari has different eye colours when you compare him in kz1, kz2 and kz3 trailers.
how loyal are stahls men ther planet was just nuked and ther still sane enough to bow for a guy who develops weponry so powerful it could wipe out planets
well *slicks back hair* this is a PR opportunity to show how merciful the ISA is and hand out lunchables to the victims on Helgan. After whats left of the annihilated ISA forces tell everyone all the shit the helghasts were doing (including nuking themselves) and reveals their plans to attack the universe, I think the helghast's only friend will be the ISA.

Awesome gaming coming from the Dutch...first it was Hardstyle and Hardcore now they got me hooked on Killzone!! =)
oh god capture troopers are so badass.
pause at 0:06 and just look at there swag
I know a lot of people don't like how cheesy and "action movie" Killzone 3 was. I'll agree it's a bit much sometimes. But part of me thinks it was intentional, to encourage players to relax and just have fun shooting evil Higs, finishing with a big spectacle battle where we destroy the doomsday weapon and save Earth, aw yeah!
Then show that our big hero moment accidentally causes a near genocide of the Helghast and destruction of Helghan. And we, Rico, Sev and friends, have become the worst war criminals in human history. Oops.
Killzone Shadow Fall was glorious.
Is That jordan peterson?
Truely read up in to Helghan history and find out that they arent the bad guys. The may have a few evil guys but not all of them are.
Guys it's been proven it's Visari, the eyes, daughter, the picture, the ISA shuttle that appeared in the beginning and the end.
Stahl's gone mad with power.
I wonder what's next after the ending of Killzone 3?
any suggestion ?
The animations are so awesome!
Partly from what i can get from the killzone wiki, and also base on my own reasoning based on what i see from the killzone 3 story and what we currently know about the new shadowfall storyline.
Sev hitting full armored guys and his hands didn’t break? That was cheesy
ISA, FUCK YEAH! Wait, this reminds me of something... Wasn't there a U somewhere in that?
and learn your facts they went to vekta because they were exiled from it so they got revenge by attempting to take it back...
I cant wait until killzone 4 comes out
"I'm gonna make sure these bastards remember my fuckin name." Oh they will.
OMFG the chairman is still alive guess theres gonna be another killzone
Looks like Hawke joined up with the Helghast.
You know people keep on saying the ending showed that Visari still might be alive.....but know one ever notices the daughter.........
So did I. Don't regret a single cent.
And isn't the planet at the end a metaphor for the hirosima bombings?
11:22 "But sir, the men" ....."F**k em" Stahl is a hard guy to work for
do you not remember what the Helghast where planning?
but first the ISA have banned the Helghans from their home VEKTA , they just want it back
It could have been Visari in the escale pod at the end:
Hence the sequel being released.
At the end I think it's not Vasari, it's stahl
Huh. Way to genocide an entire planet, guys.
Honestly the ending is better than most of the games i play
When RICO was calling jammer I Fucking cried. I even paused the cut scene cause I thought she was dead I cried for at least 10 minutes then I unpaused it only to find she was I alive I was so happy cause I fell in love with her from the first part of the game
And? Visari too, Rico kills him, do you remember it? the two are deads, and when Radec is dead you can aim him and the crosshair change to red, like he was alive.
720p and it looks like it was filmed on a CRT television with a camcorder.
Redwald Cuthberting It was
Now that was a memorable headshot.
The old people fighting some how amuses me XD
RIP Orlock
why do the Helghast soliders have gas masks but the higher guys dont?
19 people were on helghast when the Nuke/petrosite hit.
wat he say at 6:36
Stahl: Ah, yes. The men of our proud and painfully underpaid military. They're all so pathetically predictable.
MHCP001 Yui get to your post! im not dead yet................I will KILL THE ISA!
Helghast radec At once, my Colonel! Hurry, men! By the end of Today, The Word ISA will be spoken only by the crying widows of the dead!
YES MY MEN! FOR OUR PEOPLE! LETS GET REVENGE!
Don't worry there will be KZ4 ;) I wonder who "welcome home sir" is directed to.. Visari, Stahl? But remember Stahl dies from the explosion and the 'marine' next to him escapes.... Visari has different eye colours when you compare him in kz1, kz2 and kz3 trailers.
i wish there was a mode or at least a addon that alloud you to play a helgast campain
how loyal are stahls men ther planet was just nuked and ther still sane enough to bow for a guy who develops weponry so powerful it could wipe out planets
well *slicks back hair* this is a PR opportunity to show how merciful the ISA is and hand out lunchables to the victims on Helgan. After whats left of the annihilated ISA forces tell everyone all the shit the helghasts were doing (including nuking themselves) and reveals their plans to attack the universe, I think the helghast's only friend will be the ISA.
the petrosite weapons always made me feel uneasy when using them...
