  • Today my BMW F82 M4 is going to get some street cred. I'm going to install red M1 and M2 buttons on the steering wheel to give the interior a more sporty look, and I'm going to show you how to install them.
Install directions work for BMW F30 F80 F82 series cars.
WHERE I BOUGHT THESE BUTTONS - EURO CUSTOM PR: Available in RED, YELLOW & BLUE.

STEP 4: Remove left-side steering wheel paddle shifter.
STEP 5: Remove the cruise control and M modes button module.
STEP 6: Remove 3 screws from the backside of the cruise control and M modes button module.

Once the install is complete, start the car and look for any airbag lights or other errors. Then test the function of the M1 and M2 buttons. It the M modes blink rapidly and turn off, do not worry. Take the car for a short drive, and they will return to their normal function. Please note that in some cases, you may need to reset the date and time functions in iDrive.
Enjoy your new M buttons and give the car a good rip!

Just did it, thanks mate. Just a thought on 'hard to access' screws. Just role the steering wheel towards the seat so u can access and see the screws. I messed up 😢 my cruise control button is lose😢

Damn I was hoping it was just plug and play 😅. This seems a lot more involved. I'll just keep the black buttons haha

Great video bro. But unlucky for me my 2016. 3series does not have M sport steering wheel, took me hour to get their airbag out but not success, so I give up:(
