yeah it is better to mix it with a electric mixer because it makes the sugar dissolve more and it is quicker and easier and it just make it better when you are cooking things like biscuits and stuff .

Usually when you cream together butter and sugar it's best to use an electric mixer so it can become creamed together.
That's not true, it is fine to hand beat it but you would just probably have to do it for a little bit longer.

it is british syrup. you have to get it on amazon or a british food store. Lyons is the traditional brand. there is no US substitute.
