The hair salon clue has another layer of punnery with "Do" referring to hairdo 😄

Yeesh. Just started doing crosswords in earnest about a week ago... this took me three hours between last night and this morning! I'm dreading the Friday... lol.

Haha, can totally relate as I just started a couple months back. I’ve GREATLY improved since then, and these videos are an absolute treasure when you’re just starting out. Good luck!

I get the Friday's Easy Solve and work both of them. Same puzzle, different clues!

I find Friday easier than Thursday. maybe because there is less artistic license, ie no theme. lol. good luck.

The Lindy Hop is more associated with a dance of the Roaring 1920s. A Sock Hop was a teenagers’ dance party in the 1950s.

Zora Neale Hurston is primarily known as a fiction writer, but interestingly the bulk of her work was anthropological non-fiction. I HIGHLY recommend “Barracoon.” Hurston interviewed a former slave who was brought to America on the last ship to ever bring human cargo from Africa to America. If you’ve seen “the Woman King” you’ll recognize the Dahomey nation that original captured Hurston’s subject then sold him to some Americans.

I am offended on behalf of whoever's existence in Three Men And A Baby you forgot about, be it Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg or Ted Danson!

Like folk, talk, and half, the "l" in "yolk" is not pronounced.
    Hilo is pronounced hee-lo.
