I am from a military family, my grandfathers were military, my father was military, I was military, both of my sons are military, we have all spent Christmas far from home and alone. You are alone because you need to be to fulfill your duty, not because you have to, which is a completely valid reason.

Happy Christmas!! For the past 5 years, my wife and I have bought kfc on Christmas eve, and heated it up in the oven the next day. This year, we weren't able to, the timing of our wages and finishing up the kids presents. But. I do have really good tenders. And I'm making a Christmas chilli with a cornbread crust and crab Alfredo baked potatoes. Not as good as kfc but it's a close second! My coke-san can has santa on it!

hey brother! Spending it by myself with no other people but my cat. I'm a Chilean national living in Bulgaria since 6 years ago, so pretty much a very different scenario. All the friends I've made when I came here have gone back to Spain and they are enjoying Christmas and New Years with their families, so here by myself spending the holidays. My family was a bit broken so we weren't big on Christmas/New Years eve, but spending them alone for the first time it's a pretty rough experience. I'm trying to keep my chin up and not pay much attention to this, but weirdly enough it makes me feel closer to people like you, which are in the same situation. I was in japan for couple of weeks recently and was able to stay at internet cafe “club” couple of times. i’m pretty sure i got sick on my last stay cus the room is pretty small and tightly secured. you should air out the room and spray down with germ killing detergents. anyway keep up with your mental well being cus it’s not easy to live and deliver such contents on your own! best wishes for 2025!

As of this comment it's Boxing Day (what my people celebrate). There's a cricket game and all! KFC was closed where I live, I worked in my restaurant all day. I'm thankful for Robin-san. Then, the kiddos and I glued colorful pompoms and other craft supplies onto the little cardboard tree. We had a blast and made the most of things. Your decorations look great 😊😊

Glad you're feeling better, Robin-San❤❤❤. One year, my kiddos and I had to stay in a shelter during the holidays. We got a piece of green poster board and drew the shape of a tree on it. Then, the kiddos and I glued colorful pompoms and other craft supplies onto the little cardboard tree. We had a blast and made the most of things. Your decorations look great 😊😊
