Jihyo explained the meaning of the M/V that it was a long distance relationship , the boyfriend was a foreigner and when he got back to his country he stopped responding to her calls and messages .

you missed a detail tho, cuz i certainly remember she specifically said that when her boyfriend went back to his country as days goes by he gradually became uninterested to her and only until the near end of the mv (when it reached the climax) was when he stopped contacting her.

Both Nayeon's and Jihyo's solo albums have been top tier. The collabs, the self-written stuff, the overall involvement with the music and production. Both are top album caliber. You know twice and their recent b-sides 🔥
The album is just a masterpiece, Jihyo wrote the lyrics for five songs. And she was part of the producing team too for five songs. You should check it (on or off camera), only if you want to 😅❤

@@chahy249 nope, she wrote all except for Killin Me Good (Written by JYP) and Talkin About It wich it's lyrics was written by 24k goldin and Melanie Fontana. That leaves the other 5 tracks of the album: Closer, Wishing On You, Dont Wanna Go Back, Room and Nightmare (making 5 songs that she wrote). But she did participate on the producing (the music, not lyrics) of Talkin about it, so she has some credit on it ❤️

5:55, so Jihyo gave a little synopsis on their mv reaction vid, turns out he was a foreigner and things started while hes in korea but he did not stay there. in the beginning hes the one that calls and jihyo asks "how was your trip?". and the breakup was due to not being able to sustain the long distance relationship probably
actually, the whole album tells this story, the beginning of the relationship, being in love, problems, breakup, and dealing w pain and memories and next, hatred. I love how Jihyo made the track lineups exactly in this order. When i listened to the whole album while reading lyrics i went "oh she was def in a relationship. dumped his ass tho."
I mean some songs can have another meaning. I heard that Room could be a metaphor for not wanting to stay in a bad state and move on

Jihyo is my ultimate favorite K-pop female artist. Mamamoo is my favourite female group, yet none of the members appeal to me like Jihyo does. I might not stan Twice because their music isn't my style, but this lady is truly something else. Like I said, my ultimate favorite female K-pop artist, no competition. She's just got it all! Such a star.

you're right, only Nayeon and Misamo have official releases out of the group. Check Nayeon's solo, for real!! It's my favourite song from 2022, ITS A BOP
Nayeon and jihyo is the only soloists in twice, and we had a subunit of Twice which is MiSaMo for the Japanese members, however the other members have done project melodys and performances if you would like to watch them they're all soo good
The story is apparently he came to korea for a period of time and they met and fell in love then he had to go back to his home overseas and that is why in the beginning she was asking if he reached home and then they started having a long distance relationship and with the time they drifted apart .... by the end she was done and throw their couple shirt 😅

Iirc, the storyline shows how Jihyo got into a LDR with someone from overseas while he was on vacation in Korea. The scenes w her bf are probably memories of their time together before he had to go home, since she asks how his trip was in the first scene. I think in the MV reaction she explained that he started ghosting her after he left and she wasn’t having it so she broke up w him (PERIODT). I love the context it adds to the song bc it’s not a just a flirty love song or a bad bitch breakup song, it really can be both depending on how you look at it!
It can also be talking about how addiction/attachment to a person who's not right for you can be a waste of time and you can be just as happy being single or being with friends

I think Jihyo explained the premise of the MV on their member reaction video (on their YT channel) - Jihyo met this guy from overseas and had a relationship w/ him, the phone call at the beginning was from him going home back to his country as it was a Long Distance kinda thing. As time went on things wasn't as good as it was and they broke up at the end. 😅 😂

Basically she met someone while he visited Korea and they fell in love but he had to go back to his home county (at the beginning she asked how his trip home was). She basically talked about how good the relationship was then at the bridge it showed how it was getting harder and harder to reach him and eventually she couldn’t take the missed calls and lack of response.

I think you would actually fall in love if you listened to the album, mainly closer that has a live choreography video. Wishing on you and talkin about it are right up your alley as well!! And you’d really appreciate the lyrics of don’t wanna go back and the soothing vibes of Room. And then the album finishes with the banger that is nightmare (she performed it on tour) and it’s just so powerful.

Jihyo was my favorite from the very beginning. I remember watching how Twice was made, because I only came to kpop 2017, and I cried when they treated her like shit because if her weight.
I wasn't aware of the Korean beauty standards. I remember getting so mad, when she lost weight and they praised her like crazy.
I only thought this beautiful woman has so much talent, such a good voice etc and I prayed she will have her solo debut somehow once in her life and now here we are...
She deserves everything and the video is so well made and her outfits fits her so well and I can't get over her beautiful face, awesome figure and her amazing voice.

I don’t Take an entire year to get to it. I’ve explained many times that my album reactions have been getting blocked and that I’ve had to do highlight versions because of that.
