- I've been base jumping for quite some time now, and it's natural that I've had a couple of close calls. Thankfully, I've only broken five bones. All of my failures were due to a combination of mistakes and bad luck. Each has its own unique story and a certain state of mind I had before the jump. I am willing to share them if you ask. Feel free to PM me if you want. I didn't wanted to put it on b.i.r.d.s. though.
1:33 Are you kidding me? 😄 Thats was the craziest close call 😳
yeah
Damn, that was literally a second away from going in.
@@thinquar6817 Less than. I'm thinking he maybe had a small window in which to pitch after he got stable before the several seconds of "track or die" time, but had he taken another half second to get stable and start tracking he would not have cleared the talus.
Holy crap I re-watched that several times.. that was too close
how nobody talking about 0:17
He got extremely lucky his parachute got caught, had he continued falling inside the tower, there was no way out
I was very impressed but the via ferrata keep all my atention
Holy shit. It's surprising that there are so few views for this type of video. Great stuff. Good luck.
This makes sense to me, i thought all jumps were so perfect there was no way. glad ur still alive!
Commitment is on point on that track or die @1:34
That is the closest I have seen a Basejumper not dying. Tracking that low even induces ground effect, which effectively is a aero suckdown towards the cliff
@@isakhammer6558 yep… at least he remained “calm” and didn’t panic pitch… not sure I would have been able to do the same
@@nabz85 i would have pulled as soon as i saw the tree line and pray i dont hit the wall on line stretch lol
@@isakhammer6558ground effect creates reduced drag, ergo increased lift for the airspeed in question no?
@@Superterminal Yeah, ground effect would help, but also you wouldn't get ground effect in any meaningful way unless maybe you're in a wingsuit and your shoelaces are scraping the cliff.
Source: My aero degree 😂
1:37 please no more of these, ever! I keep it safe! This was waaay to close. With those huge balls you need more clearence! :D
1:33 used up all your luck jar 😅
LOL
LOL
1:33 wtf how could you tell you were going to make it past?
Easily, the camera man never dies.
I didn't know
I was hoping I could manage
That was intense, I would not have tried tracking that at all.
@@lanthanumlanthanium6373 I wouldn’t have either.
If you're going into trees, cross your legs.
If you are girl - yes. For boys not recommended.
And why’s that?
How did you get out of the antenna? That looked very scary!
My knees hurt from watching some of these
Full on man ! Love it! Glad you made it out of all these ok ✌🏻❤️
Dude when I see a video from you titled "fails" first it made me happy to know you're still here to post it, but second it made me suck wind thinking about what kind of fails you would have with all those low jumps you have. Definitely some gnarley ones in this collection. I saved it to disk. The one where you snagged and when back into the antenna frame was nuts and the big wall jump was crazy. Glad you got the tracking down and cleared that ledge of rock. Stay safe!
"Stay" safe? I'd argue: please become safe and get guidance.
From who?
@@baseinspiredtravels why did u decide to out track the wall instead of emergency pull?
I assumed I would hit the ground at linestretch so I decided to keep on tracking. It was really split off second decision. At that point I was sure I'm going to die.
@@BongboBongbong You didn't get the memo? None of us are getting out of here alive...
I enjoyed a lot watching this, thanks for sharing! can't be perfect always but you also never quit trying to fix, nice
That was awesome.
Holy Fuck bro! That one off Via was insane. Glad you made it.
0:16 lookd like one heck of a close call! that was insane!
Some are stupid mistakes, others are big mistakes.. Bro be safe..
Całe szczęście że nic poważnego się nie stało😮😮. Zajawka warjaty 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
how many base jump do you have? and how many time you had fail? thnx
thanks for sharing beast
1:33 and 2:03 - were these issues in not being able to do a gainer, or are these the two gainers out of hundreds that didn't rotate right?
I was bad timing with tossing PC doing double
1:26 was the crazing shit I’ve seen in my life, talk about tracking to save your life
You have any desire to visit the USA and do some BASE in Moab, Utah? That's my dream spot if I ever get well enough to get into the sport. The scenery and number of exits is phenomenal.
Feels like there's a second part that's only on LiveLeak
Wow. There are some real close calls in there.
Same thing happened to me on a roll over from a tower. I swung past the structure, turned a 180 in my harness and somehow cushioned off the steel using my legs. To this day i dont know how that one didnt fuck me up.
Dude how many canopies/patches have you gone through
Pucker factor 1000
Go easy on the shrubbery lads!
wow, 1:25 is insane. Lucky guy.
Brilliant sketchy jumps, im glad you were okay, looks like i might not do roll over of antenna or pylon😂 any advices for jumping objects sub 30metres?do you set up static line half way thru bridle or little closer to bottom pin? I would love to jump with you somewhere, if you will be in uk anytime soon, let me know, i messaged you on insta if you dont mind, i admire your jumps and you got some great exits like from low buildings, keep them coming mate🫡🧡
Bro u are running out of luck 😳 too many close calls
bro you must have to get a new canopy everyday??
amazing
nice saves
That track was fickin insane
0:16 stary! 🤯
did you find my camera on the way from via to stechelberg? fucking hell...
Jeeeez bud, you know, you'll make the wrong move one of these days
What a music name???
If you make it alive, it's a success. Those are didn't seem fails to me at all.
Song name?
jumping 50 feet off the ground doesn't give your twisted up parachute much time to do anything. I guess the trees will break the fall a little.
My hands are so sweaty right now
These people value pleasure more than their life.
how are u still alive?
Parachutes fail at a rate of about 1/1000. Skydivers have a reserve chute; which means if that one fails too it's like winning the Powerball of death. BASE jumpers don't have a reserve, which means that 1 in every 1000 BASE jumps is going to be fatal. That number is too high for me to consider BASE jumping. I have skydived over a dozen times and counting, but will never record a single BASE jump.
We need to get you a trampoline so you can practice gainers, lol.
landing on trees is in fact a standard 😅
This is in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
Extra❤
You have a lot off talent 😂
Bro. You have 20 cats inside of you adding up to 180 lives.
Non of the jump here are failed ! They all walked away 😂
1:07 no fail at all
You should see my hends ;)
What a legend this is siiiick🤘🏾🔥🪂
No, this is pause for thought....
OMG

O kurde adrenalina skacze od samego patrzenia 😰 uważajcie na siebie, piękna zajawka, ale równie niebezpieczna 😬 oby jak najmniej takich sytuacji, a najlepiej wcale,
Pozdro wariaci🤘
These can't be all you!?
Glad to see this was all poor decision making and user error lol
Via Ferrata-od samego oglądania się bałem 🙈😁
I had this in first person view ;)
@@baseinspiredtravels How many meters do you think you were from that slope at the closest?
They don't call it the most dangerous sport for nothing.
No momentami to ciary przechodzą Panowie...
Dammnnnnn
😬
Common 😅
@1:26 I would sh*t myself first.
Looks like you can't even do proper gainers off of a diving board yet you're trying them from via ferrata... 🤨🥵
I will elaborate.
The videos are not in chronological order. Actually jump from via was when I had less then 100 base jumps, way earlier then KL.
I could do gainers with no problem back then, but I changed technique in this jump. Instead of sticking to slow, layout style rotation I tucked my knees in. And I did it wrong and stayed on my back.
In KL (around 600 base back then) I was over via Ferrara trauma. I was doing gainers quite often from cliffs and buildings (every 10 jumps o would say) . I felt confident and relaxed. I was so relaxed that I fucked up pitch and did it super lazy.
So while your statement is kinda correct (I couldn't do proper those two gainers) you are also mixing up some details ;)
@@baseinspiredtravels thanks for replying to me and for putting things back into context also. Sorry if I sounded rude but the footage was so scary to watch I couldn't help but comment on what I had in mind. But still, working on a new gainer method on via Ferrata when you have less than a hundred jumps is soooo fucked up hahahaha. Don't even understand how you even thought about doing that back then. Best regards though and thanks again for responding nicely to a comment that was in hindsight a bit harsh not knowing you personally.
🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽
Nothing wrong with your base jumping, your packing and choice of LZ is shite though 😉
c cho
buy a new sail plz
No thanks.
bro youre so careless wtf

So much avoidable sketchy shit in this video.
Those “aerials” need serious work…
That clip where you fucked up a gainer(?) then had to out track the talus was pretty pulse pounding, maybe don’t do that again….
I just love these kinds of comments.
Of course, most of these incidents could have been avoided. Just like you see it now on video, I also realize that from perspective of time. Nevertheless, behind every mistake there usually lies a bigger story. As I wrote in the description - if you want to know more, just ask. Some of those jumps were made 1400 base jumps ago.
@@baseinspiredtravels wasn’t trying to throw shade, sorry if it came across that way. Was typed with love, through the lens of a dude with too many dead BASE friends. ❤️

Not for me they aren't. 13 years and counting without that non-sense.
