How to Fold: The Pineapple Stitch Rexlace

- A fine day for a little rexlace, no? Today we will be doing the Pineapple stitch!
This stitch was suggested by LanYard here on UA-cam, if you're into Rexlace crafts, you should definitely check them out!: / @1anya7d
YOU WILL NEED:
2 colours of plastic lace
Scissors
Lighter (Optional)
This stitch really takes the cake.
I wanted to try a new one since i am pretty used to doing the tornado/zig-zag/wave stitches, and the zebra stitch which to me is just a little bit trickier..
BUT THIS ONE, is by far the most difficult one i've tried for some reason. I've had to undo it so many times just to get it right. Things get twisted so easily if you're not careful.😢
But i'm going to keep going.
I make these because they help with my anxiety, and make good gifts to friends.
😎👍
Rexlace is not a craft I've ever tried, but I love watching people do tutorials just to get a feel for it. Thanks for another fun video!
Not one of my top crafts but a fun time killer! 😅
Found my old rexlace from probably over 20 years ago when I was a kid and was looking for something to try to make that wasn’t a boring corkscrew. I made a couple mistakes with twisted strands but after than I finished off no problem! Thanks for the tutorial.
This was the most helpful tutorial I could find, THANK YOU! I’m actually trying to make those thick keychains and this one is so easy and yet gorgeous, thank you!
that is a beautiful design for a rexlace
Keep making these please!! Your videos help me so much!!
Rexlace bracelet maker and omg I’ve never seen this beautiful design and I’m here for it ! ✨
Love these rexlace/gimp tutorials ❤😊👍thanks!
Thank you sis love the tutorials I’m making mine along with you 💜💜
Nerdy third 🤣! I used to call mine gimp. I had glow in the dark and a glittery silver one. They were my favorites.....I wonder if I still have some in my craft hoarde.......😅
We all called it gimp too! I’ve had some of my spools for over ten years now 🙈 definitely check your horde! lol
@@MegMakesCrafts we called/call it lanyard
I love the nails
I love your tutorial on the pineapple stage keep making videos on the gimp or boondoggle
Thank you for your tutorial!! How do you make yours so neat and straight? I’ve done several pineapple stitches and a lot of times, my strings look slanted and a bit bulky, no matter how much I pull and tighten them!!
ive been trying to do this stitch for weeks and i still havent gotten it
It’s not an intuitive one and took me a few attempts too!
I put the video on 2.0x lol 😂
Hi! My name is Annie, and I LOVE these videos! Are there more, Meg?
Omg thank you. 🥹🩷
have had so much trouble with folding it in the beginning
It would have made it so much easier to follow if you had used 4 differnt colors instead of 3 of the same
Don’t be mean to her she showed us what she knows about it
You make it look so easy 😩
This one took me a couple tries to get down too! There’s definitely a keychain and a half that went to the trash before this video was recorded! 😂 You’ll get the hang of it! 😊
First time doing this stitch one I got it down it gets easy and coming out pretty. Love ur videos.. some I have watched I’m like ummm I don’t get it. I was wondering if you knew how to do the letter M? If you would do a video on it. Hope you have a blessed day.
There’s definitely a learning curve when it comes to teaching someone in person versus in a video and earlier videos I definitely thought too hard about how to explain things and word things. Without that immediate feedback from someone I’d get paranoid people wouldn’t understand and then explained it 50 ways which made it worse! hahaha! But you live and learn 🤷🏻♀️
how long the pieces?
I don’t use any particular lengths I just use wingspan for a project like this
Nails 💅 🔥🔥🔥🔥😎😎
How long do you cut each piece? I know some times you need longer of one string
I don’t measure my strings on any formal measurement, I always just use wingspan!
So all 4 are to be equal length?
Rexlace is so cheaply made now…it’s plastic-y and thick and very hard to manipulate with certain designs…like this one apparently. For me, anyway. All the strings are just pulling on top of one another and making like a triple box stitch. Even when I try to keep them separated. Maybe I’m doing something wrong but..I’m pretty sure I’m not.
its too hard to learn with 3 of the same color and one different
Unfortunately, with this pattern multiple colours doesn’t really translate. I love to show people crafts but I just can’t bring myself to spend a few hours on a project, not to mention use up supplies on it to be thrown in the garbage. 😕
English is my first language but I swear you switched to ancient Egyptian or something because I'm lost in the sauce. 😵😵🤯🤯
😂
Hi 👋 first to comment 😊
this is a really cool looking keychain
Right? A little bit different than some of the other rexlace patterns I’ve done before!
Is the secondary color going to be longer then the primary? If so by how long?
Honestly, I don’t do numbered measurements for rexlace projects. I cut all of my strings for this project the same length and slightly longer than my wingspan.
Can you do a tutorial on how to make an little airplane? Thanks!
Can I make this stitch with 6 strings?
I buy my rexlace from Amazon
I’ve never bought it from Amazon but I’ve definitely seen it on there before!
@@MegMakesCrafts they have all different colors which I love
next time do different colors to differentiate what ur talkin about
Great video so confused tho 😂
It’s not a super intuitive pattern- it took me a couple of attempts to get it at first too! Haha!
Do you know how to do a diamond Stitch
This is way too hard
It’s definitely not a stitch I would suggest starting with but it definitely becomes easier after a couple of tries! 😊
second :)
Haha! Hi stranger! Thanks for the video suggestion! :)
@@MegMakesCrafts Yw, Megan! 🍍
