In spite of her positive confession theology and health and wealth gospel, she died of an overdose of prescription drugs in 1944. Aimee Semple McPherson was a dishonest and immoral woman who has no place being eulogised by Christians as a spiritual leader.

Even putting aside for a moment the separate debate over whether or not women should hold leadership roles in church, the New Testament is clear that McPherson’s sin and immorality disqualified her from church leadership.
