Join or even start clubs
Befriend kids who are a bit younger than you
If you can't/don't want to talk to people right away, hang out at places you hope to eventually be party of a community in, like libraries or parks, because just being present there can help
Find events that are already happening and contribute to them (bake sales, book fairs, potlucks)
I wanna build community but I have anxiety so talking to people freaks me out sm :(

I used to work with people who smoked close to me, and I was constantly moving to keep out of their smoke to breathe. We never worked a day inside. That was all day on the job site, at the end of the day it was good we got to leave because there isn't a lot of wind in those places and it just kind of dissipates into the entire job site air, its terrible secondhand.

Wish more creators did this, understood it as a form of accommodation, and used subtitles tbh. Even if someone doesn't have a speech disability or something that can make it harder to process, I have a language processing issue so bad I need hearing aids for that makes it hard to process anyone's speech. And, it gets so much worse when I am sleep deprived.

I had my callback for the play today! I was asked to read for a character COMPLETELY different from the one I auditioned for, which I think is my director’s way of seeing how far outside of my typecast I could go, and I did not do well but that’s ok. I am now in a several-hour-long state of anxiety waiting to find out if I actually got cast rn 😀👍

I hate videos like these. I can totally understand this sentiment being thrown towards Prime or Netflix, or Disney. These are mega corps. But, say that to Dr. Seuss, who made the Lorax or Toby Fox and Temmie Chiang, who made Undertale or Ursa Le Guin, who wrote Thoese Who Walk From Omelas? Kendrick Lamar, who made To Pimp A Butterfly or N.D. Stevenson, who wrote Nimona? What do we say towards Palestinian artists like Elyanna? Where do we draw the line between art that makes people think or products meant to normalize atrocities? It is not fair to lump all of art into one category.
I think he was just explaining that even anti-capitalism is branded and commodified under capitalism, he didn't really insult any of the artists working on those things

Anyone else just kinda amused by those "xy sexuality/ gender does z" type of things you see on Pinterest or something.
Cause I personally use quite a lot of the more commonly known labels (aro- & acespec, trans, genderfluid, genderqueer, nonbinary, bi& pan (I really don't get the bi vs. pan drama lol)).
So every time I stumble across one of these I just start to giggle, because my existence alone proves that these are complete bullshit.

Thinking about moving to Japan with an art career maybe. I have a close friend who is about to live there, as her partner is from there, and they are the kind of people that give me spoons. I don't have to spend as much energy just to be understood or explain with them, which makes communication very easy, and we have similar yet opposed enough interests to have our own styles, likes, not eat each other's food on accident, etc. but enough similarities that we really mesh and get along.
I think i actually might become a crime scene cleaner, sure I don't like strong smells BUT..money [we are money deficient, i just wanna be able to eat once I'm out of highschool :'D] and possibly a cool hazmat suit or something, maybe the suits will stop the bad smells?

First three weeks of school were already stressful enough. Less sleep and having to come to terms with it getting harder later on while balancing other things in my life makes me almost cry. But oh well it’s finally the weekend and I get an extra day off so…yay? Also having more homework than before all of a sudden makes me want to just roll into a blanket and just shut myself off in a corner for a few hours before doing anything else.
I know my next door neighbours! They’re an elderly couple, let’s call them Bob and Robin
The great thing with them is that Bob loves cooking and Robin loves gardening, so they grow some plants that can be used for cooking! They heard I like spicy food and gave us a whole bunch of chillies when they were in season.
Next time the chillies are in season and they bring some over, I’m going to make some mild chilli and garlic focaccia and bring it over :)
Also, their daughter is a lesbian and has a non-binary partner, so they’re already very used to they/them pronouns and have no issue with my gender!

I am a child bearing capable person, and I agree with the woman in the grey sweater @16:45. Personally, I have had people try to push motherhood on me even when I explain that both my mother and grandmother had severe complications with their first pregnancy almost leading to their death. Then, I have had these same people tell me I should never have a child when I discuss and explain my hidden disabilities such a Ehlers Danlos.
