Oh my God. . This actually tastes so good. It tastes exactly like subway choco chip cookies- crisp from outside and slightly moist from inside. . Amazing. . Can't believe it's ragi and still so tasty. . Thank you for this recipe. .
2 tbsp ghee 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4th cup Sugar 1/2 cup Ragi flour Pinch of salt 1/4th cup Almond flour 2 tbsp unsweetened Cocoa powder 1tea spoon soaked in tbsp water Chia seeds 1/4th cup milk powder 1 tbsp corn flour Choco chips 1/4 th cup of milk
Hi, my daughter loved the cookies, said they are way better than regular ones! Thank you for posting! I made a couple of changes, used chia seeds instead of sabja seeds and replaced corn starch with Tapioca starch. They didn't fall apart when they were still warm (Tapioca caused it I think). I think you can powder sabudana and add it. Also, through some experience baking, I suggest powdered oats instead of almond flour. And I think you meant fresh coconut pureed when you said coconut flour in the video. As coconut flour absorbs 3 times the amount of water compared to Maida which is counter productive.
Bhanu Kalaga Hi mam. Happy to know that your daughter likes it. Nice variation too. Thanks for your suggestions. I too have tried with tapioca flour. Somehow the baked product crumbles. We need some protein component for baking. So almond flour. I haven't tried with oats. Will try. I meant coconut flour only and not pureed coconut. Ragi is quite dry and there needs to be some moisture retaining agent. Otherwise it crumbles. Coconut flour even though absorbs more water the cookie has a mild coconut flavour and shape. Advance New year wishes.☺
karimbegum69 I feel we can use Besan or fried gram dhal powder instead of nuts to make it nut free. Haven't tried it though. Will try and let you know. ☺
Highly appreciate the way you did all the shooting with left hand and all the cooking with Right hand. I can relate to it so well. I too shoot the video in the same way. Thankfully i saw someone already successful which proves that Tools hardly matter and what matters is the content.l video is so clear and crisp. The recipe too is superb Liked the idea of adding Basil seeds for retention of moisture in the recipe. Wow...just Wow.
At last, I found a channel with healthy recipes.....thank you so much mam...keep continuing your good work...all ur recipes r just perfect and awesome.🙏
Thanks for sharing this recipe. I tried it out and the cookies turned out really good. And knowing that they're a healthier option makes for guilt free eating!
My family just loved these cookies... Thank you for the great recipe.. I didn't have corn flour so skipped it, but the cookies turned out amazing. Can you please tell what is the purpose of adding corn flour?
Good recipe thanks. Planning to try :) Just a suggestion. If possible, please add the ingredients with their measurements in description part of the recipe videos so it is easy to refer when required.
Hai Buddy Am very impressed with the way you made the cookies. Thanks a Lot can i use jaggery instead of sugar as sugar is unhealthy I wish you keep going.......
Vishnu vardhan Reddy Hi. Thankyou. Yes you can make with jaggery. Jaggery needs to be dissolved in water and strained. Usually it contains sand and dust. The quantity of milk has to be adjusted accordingly. Do let me know how it turned out with jaggery. ☺

madam how about doing home made cookie biscuits? is it profitable? in video you made 6 choco cookies ,can you tell what will be the approx weight of all total 6 cookies? can v start cookie business at home using one convection oven of 30 litres?
Hi , can I use orange essence or fresh orange juice ? Can I soak sabja seeds in orange juice to get the flavour ? And add orange juice instead of milk?
Didi, can we soak the sabza seeds in milk instead of water just to enhance the taste?? I don't have a oven can I bake it in the oven?? For how much time to preheat and how much time to bake??
Hi. I haven't tried soaking in milk. So I don't know. You can preheat a cooker with sand or salt for 15 minutes in high heat, plate the biscuits and bake for 10 minutes. If it is not done increase time by 2 minutes and try. Since I don't know the size of your kadai or cooker you are going to use for baking I am not able to tell you the time. You have to try and work it out yourself.🙂
Hi , I m new to baking. What must be the microwave setting. Do we need to pre heat and use convection mode. Or just choose microwave. If microwave what is the watts and time.
Jensolin Justin Hi Jensolin mam. It is better to use convection mode than microwave. Preheat the oven( to 160°C in this recipe) to whichever temperature the recipe calls for. Once it is preheated, keep the dish to be baked and set the timing.( 15 min for this recipe.). All the best for happy baking.☺
I am using regular OTG with the just bottom heating setting for 15 minutes .Cookies got burned a bit below with 180 degree .i had also pre heated for 10 mins .Any idea what would have went wrong
Nita Gokalgandhi Thankyou. If it is tolerable you can add butter milk. If using only water, add another tablespoon or two of butter. Please try and let me know how it came out.
Arthi vijayakumar Hi. I am looking for an alternative dear. Will let you know once I find out. Want to keep my son off the biscuits from department stores. So as of now I use this. ☺
stephen Paul Yes. You can make in cooker. I haven't tried though. Preheat the cooker for 10 to 15 min. In high heat. Then keep the container with biscuits. Try for 15 to 20 min and extent the time if required after checking with a toothpick.☺

Rama Pendse Hi. I am so happy you tried and liked this recipe. These cookies are crisp when they are hot and fresh. Once cooled transfer immediately to an airtight container. After baking them, set your oven to the lowest temperature option and bake for a few minutes. This has to done with 5 minute intervals to prevent burning. Once done, it can be repeated with ease. Or it can be even heated on a dosa pan in low heat. All the best. Please try and let me know your feedback ☺
Leena Bhanushali Hi mam. Sorry for the late reply. Adjust your oven timings mam. Keep it for some more time in the oven at a lower temperature. Did you use sabja seeds or Apple puree mam?
Leena Bhanushali Since we are using Ragi we need to add some nut powder for protein mam. Otherwise it won't come properly. You can use cashew flour, peanut flour instead of almond flour.
Tejashree Niljikar Hi. There should be a protein component in the mix for it to bake properly. If almond flour is skipped, some other nut flour has to be added.☺
It turned nice But I made some changes 1 I used raw almonds semi crushed in mixer so pieces of almond become crunchy when baked I used cocobutter I had in my fridge instead of ghee Then also became nice I used regular powder suger instead of brown sugar so the cookie would not be darker Next time I want to use oats and banana also and will tell how it turns
