Thanks for those that have commented regarding the melody that I have used, I first heard this here • Trobar de Morte - The ... however it's use may be explained below.
    *****
I think what's happened is the version I heard was song to the words of "The Unquiet grave" but sung to the Tune of "The Star of the County Down", which according to Robert Cogan in his book130 great Irish Ballads was written by Cathal McGarvey 1866-1927 to an old Scottish air. According to Robert the Air has been used for many ballads including "Dives and Lazerus", "The Murder of Maria Martin" and "Claudy Banks"

Karan Casey sings”The Unquiet Grave”. This tune is “Star of the County Down”. Nicely played though!

I really like how you put the finger below each note. That’s very helpful for students! Nice going.

@@fretsnreeds It took me a long time to realise that a tune can have many songs associated with it and songs can have many tunes. If you do an ABC search for "The Unquiet Grave" it will turn up loads of settings (most of the tunes I play are for dancing to, and I know them by the name of the dance, so I know this tune by a dance name). I have heard many settings of this song, from Luke Kelly, Karen Casey et al and this stands with the best of them it makes a lovely ballad. Thanks.

Thanks, yes I arranged for the version I first heard on UA-cam and soon realised that was the case from kind comments of the folk community.
