That second floating base, if you look at it just right, with the two lights and all the wires, it looks kind of like a cable-management monster. Maybe they were going for art-terror instead of art-deco? ._.

Right now it seems that the flooting bases can't finish purification anymore, there has been reports that they fail because the mobs can't attack anything, bug out and tzen you get the fail notification
Someone did video of how to make them that is why you see so many. Also I am pretty sure 'flying bases' can be considered exploiting against stardust resonator, I never bothered making them. Since the way to make it is by exploiting building mechanics.
God I wish I could drag you to my base just to see your reaction. xD Let's just say there's so many cables in my basement/ attic under my living area (don't ask) that I actually get framerate dipping when I have the cables on. And yes it was deliberate.

This is already being discussed with the devs and they are going to introduce stability, and then a bunch of creative bases will get wrecked thanks to the flying base exploit.
So if its such a bad levitating base, make us a better one. And if you think its not normal, since there are a lot of weird flying anomaly's in this game so it fits.
Its all fun and games with flying bases until the devs patch out the exploit without notice and all those bases disintegrate as they have no supports. I live for the day.
How to make: Basically you need to make a very large area foundation that you push into the air like you would do with floating base. Next you delete whatever is on the ground and make another layer of foundations under the large floating foundation. This bottom layer needs to be smaller than your top floating foundations. Build this bottom layer into your dream house IN ITS FINAL FORM (since you can no longer edit it when it is underground). Remember to put teleportation doors on both floating and ground sections of the base. Now move the territory, the game will think the larger area floating foundation as the ground floor, and put the original ground floor into the ground. Now you can use the teleportation doors to reach your house that is under the map. ***DO NOT DELETE YOUR UNDERGROUND TELEPORT DOOR, SINCE YOU WILL NEED IT TO GO UNDERGROUND TO DELETE EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU CAN MOVE TERRITORY AGAIN*** ***!!!I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IF YOUR BASE GET STUCK UNDERGROUND FOREVER WITH NO WAY OF MOVING IT OR LIFTING IT OUT OF THE GROUND!!!*** ***DISCLAIMER: DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. You're right, it is actually amazing to see a flying base the first time, and it is even more amazing to create one as well, BUT it seems that everyone just want to make them fly and be "NOT" creative about it. My expectations were very high when the creator released his video tutorial on how to make the base fly, he even showed a couple of flying house design and expected too much that it will spark the creativity of the players to create unique designs (or even copy of actual battleships) what a sight would have it been if that actually happened, but alas everyone is using the generic "pyramid" design w/c sucks imo (no offense to the actual base designer) . Although I admit my base is still flying on the edges of the map where no one can see them LOL! but I think I redesigned my base a couple of times. right now I'm rocking a flying battle cruiser base, soon I might change it to the SS enterprise :D Anyway thanks for letting me post my rant here and we're all hoping that you release more awesome contents!

I'm really bad at design, last season the house had one room, walls, a foundation and a hole in the floor for the pumps XD This season I'll just copy the base from one of these videos. There's nothing wrong with that, make more base building videos, people will copy yours.

The cabinets and dumpsters that have blueprints also have level ranges. If you are only doing the Blackfell run you will never get them all, you need to go back to the other regions as well.

I also saw a flying base tutorial a while ago on Yt but havent built it myself yet, cause I didnt care enough to put the time and effort into it. And these 2 flying bases in this video really are copy+paste and so little space to build. But I'd hope that there are better flying ones out there. 🧔🏻♂ 😉
I had a few issues with the game audio but turned it down. To my ears, the vocals sound the same on my headphones but YT is a mysterious mistress at times.
@RATETHEBASE it does have a habit of overly compressing audio, it was just a significant change to my amateur musicians' ear from usual. None the less fantastic video as always sir
Flying bases dont suck. They're infinitely stronger than ground bases. It forces you to use the RPG or ranged grenades in order to do damage to it. Ground bases can be attacked from 360 degrees around it, unless its somewhere special, a flying base can only be attacked directly from below, allowing you to honeycomb under the base. I would love to hear an argument as to why they suck.

The reason people have bad cable management is because of low graphics option doesn't show the cables
or u press l in building mode and it also turns off cable
once its up there you cant add or do any thing even destroying or add things you will need you cant

press L in building mode to hide cables. No point cable managing!

Hiding cables with L is the lazy way and there are honestly such simple solutions for cable management!

they can put the foundation first on the flatter surfaces and relocate it on the water and lower the foundation until it greens
