Vin was called Baby Don. Drummond sadly was a tortured genius. I was talking with Tommy McCook some years ago and he said Don was the best musician in the Skatalites.
This is played by most of the same musicians who played on the original ska recordings from 1963-4. They’d already moved on to “one-drop” reggae/rock-steady.
