Also, it is beautiful to see the great relationship they have built outside the scenes. Listening to them talking brings so much reality to the show. They are beautiful inside out.
Smallville has a special place in my heart. That said, I personally felt like seasons 7 to 9 were almost unnecessary. 1 to 4 were amazing, and after that it just seemed not as good to me.
@@glenaldothompson717 Exactly, Superman and Lois doesn't beat Smallville but it might be as good as it. It's almost a tie. Have you seen Superman and Lois? I love Smallville just to be clear.
When I watch these scenes and the dynamic that was there with John Schneider and Annette OToole I miss that element of the series, and wish that it was still there. I know that Clark had to grow up but that didnt mean that the family dynamic needed to end so soon into his manhood. It was a compelling part of the series that couldve continued in a meaningful way. Take care. Peace To All
The crazy part is that Annette o'toole (Martha) is almost 8 years older than the actor who plays Johnothon. So Clark was really 24 when the show started, johnothon was like 41 and Martha was like 49ish. She looked so much younger than she was.
Coming to watch these after seen Tom Welling/Clark appearing in Arrowverse. Cute how he likes how John brings his real father attitude onto the scene... and now more than 10 years later Tom has done the same in Arrowverse, where Clark became a dad.
7:05 Talking about wanting to save his dad made me cry, Theres nothing I wouldn't have given up to save my dad. RIP George Author Smith I Love You Dad!
good interview session. smallville's casting has always been good especially in the first couple of seasons. it's really nice when the actors can be down to earth and reflect on their work.
The interview is stupid. Shes asking questions to the actors like they are the real characters. BB: When did you start wearing glasses clark Tom: Clark started wearin glasses as a teen
Damn I miss this show! The first 5 seasons were a blast..specially with the younger Clark Kent and his supporting cast. For me Lex Luthor and his dad Lionel Luthor were the best actors of the entire show that made this show complete. It was cut off too soon and with poorly scripted episodes in the later seasons. Like they were rushing to close it down...what a waste. Zod with a Brit accent and a tiny body, same story with Braniac and no sign of any other serious evil villain, and Clark becoming more stupid and naive in the later seasons trying to being righteous (more like a preachy devout Christian) rather than a logical superhero...
I'd say Seasons 1 - 3. Quality of the writing started to dip when Alfred Gough and Miles Miller left after Season 3 and they started just throwing in randoms from Superman's rogues gallery just to keep ratings up.
The first three seasons were great, four and five were really good to me but not as good as the first three. season 6 is arguably my favorite but towards the last few episodes it starts to get a little boring. season 7 is good but the worst so far. Strangely I really like season 8 because I do like the concept with doomsday and other things, but I understand that they took away so many characters that were around since the first season that was my biggest complaint. By season 9 it hit Rock bottom for me, although I do think the last season is better then 9 but still worse then 7. Smallville even counting the entire series as a whole I still think it's a great series. I do have a lot of complaints about it, but what the series gave me was something that I will always be thankful for.
@@spencergsmith they stopped writing/directing episodes after Season 3(though I believe they directed one episode of season 4). After Season 3 they stepped back creatively and were merely producers. It's why the quality of the series dipped(pretty jarringly) after those first 3 seasons. I remember watching Season 4 way back then and thinking "....something is off". I looked into it and saw they weren't as involved in the writing anymore at that point.
This is a weird interview. That woman is asking them questions as if they are actual his parents. The actors are answering her questions with smart well crafted answers. But man who told her to do this interview like that. I you watch the show you already know whats going on so I don't get the weird fucking questions.
Brooke just acting for the kids and parents and family keeping Superman Real ‼️Just like Parents does when parents take their kids to see Santa Claus at the mall to ask Santa what kind of gifts kids want for Christmas 🎄.
wat the hell..is brooke bourke on acid? she's asking the actors questions as if they actually ARE the characters from the show. "How did you feel when you found out your son had powers?"
@MadsDMads to preserve the reality of Superman to the younger audience who are watching it. It would crush a child's reality if they were told that it wasn't superman. So they're acting as if they are actually the Kents to keep the children's innocence and dreams of Clark Kent alive
Guys she's asking these questions for the sake of the younger audience. They think Tom is Clark so he asks as if they're the Kents, to keep the reality of Superman alive
u know u can totally tell what a great actor tom welling is. ON the show he's this un-sure/a lil scared, waaay to innocent looking teenage boy. And in real life, he totally isn't =D waaah~ he's cool*!~ XD
