The 3rd singer, is Matt Sallee, who is the new base for the group. He took over in 2017 when Avi Kaplan needed to leave .
Mitch is most people favorite singer in Pentatonix. It's because of the fact he has such a unique and rare voice that sounds so angelic.
Kevin uses a stamp pad in the studio, so that will be the echo effect you would have heard. If you want to see his home studio, I suggest you watch his solo of Down. Many of the group has done solo work, with the exception of Matt Sallee the new bass since 2017. And yeah...we all love Mitch and his wonderful, clear voice.

You need to keep going!! I love your reactions!! Truthful and heartfelt. As all music should make you feel. I've only dossiers them myself within the last 2 years. MITCH is amazing. He never looks the same...I wish I felt confident enough to do the same. My favorites I haven't seen on yours: Imagine, Say Something, basically any Evolution of ANYTHING, Sing, Cheerleader, Royals, Gold, Run to You.
They are consummate professionals. Everything they do is perfection.

Matt Sallee took over the bass when Avi Kaplan left for family and personal reasons in 2017. My favorite is probably Kirstin but they are all so spectacular at the parts they play it's always just a toss up lol. I just have a thing for female vocalists that can bring the POWER...and Kirstie can bring the power.

Matt is the new bass since Avi left in 2017. When Avi sang Scott would take bass, and now when Matt sings Scott takes bass.

Hello Greg, This is just Pure Pentatonix Perfection. Scott starting off so strongly. Mitch coming in with his beautiful voice, so clear, his lower register so smooth and with some inflections - don't worry - we all love him too. Matt (he took the bass when Avi left in 2017) so deep and warm. Kirstie so sharp and belting. Kevin beatboxing, stomping, clapping and driving the beat. All five of them harmonizing, ear candy, bell tones and singing with such passion. I love you reactions and how you really appreciate the talent of Pentatonix. More PTX please.

One thing to listen for on "Grinch" is the bass part - since Matt is singing the lead the entire song, Scott is doing the bass for the whole song as well.
And the "New Rules/Are You That Somebody" mash up. That has a dyno intro. Kevin and Matt crush the beatboxing.

The base singer is new. When Avi left the group to begin his solo career, he specifically recommended this man, as someone who could take his place, and meet the stringent requirements needed for this group to maintian their near perfect blending of vocals, and their near perfect timing when singing together.
Mewze Tm, Avi did not recommend Matt. Avi had nothing to do with Matt being part of Pentatonix. Matt auditioned along with 40+ others. He knew Ben. Ben suggested that he audition but did not tell him for which band he was auditioning. He was later told. When Matt showed up at Scott's house for the final audition, he had learned all of Pentatonix songs. He won the job based upon his talent, experience, personality and work ethic. Matt has been their bass since October 2017.
They are all so talented. Matt is the new bass since 2017. I love this version of the song when Scott uses his baritone voice.
I know the rest of my fellows will tell you all you need to know. But you REALLY need to watch Disturbed’s version, official video or live on Conan. The Official video is beautifully cinematic and the live version shows exactly how much talent the lead singer David Draiman has. The official video has over 831 million views, 1 million since yesterday.

Avi is a one of a kind and will always be special and I don't know that I can separate him from Pentatonix. He's just more of an extension now.
Matt is phenomenal! He seemed to meld immediately with the group and is an integral part of who Pentatonix is.
I absolutely love that they can all do their solo adventures yet still be the phenomenal group that we all know and love. They're literally the most talented group that I've ever come across.
