What’s the point of weighing the knob and the barrel? I’m curious

Overall weight 27.1 the endcap weigh was 17.8 the knob weight was 9.4 add those numbers up and it doesn’t add up to the 27.1 weight it that way means nothing because if you think about it if you stand on the scale with your left foot and shoes 150 lbs and right foot on the floor does that mean the left side of your body weighs 150 lbs?
Also on another the balance Genny was 26.3 the barrel was 16.7 the knob part was 9.9 that adds up to 26.6 not the 26.3 I’m so confused what’s the purpose of weight barrel and knob please explain.

@@StatingFacts23 I do it with every bat. I scale the endload to give people how heavy the endload is and the handle weight . To compare to other bats. Gives you an idea before you buy the bat. I know it doesn’t equal out and you’re not the first to point it out. I try give as much information as possible before you purchase the bat .

@@FatGuyBP but if the bat upright weighs let’s say 26.3oz and then weighing the barrel is 18oz and the handle weighs 8.6oz adding that gives you 26.6oz not the original 26.3oz where did the additional .3oz come from?

Its clearly not an exact science, commonly referred to as bro science. using a kitchen scale should be your first clue. If you remove overall weight and just look at end and knob weight, its an easy way to compare loads in each bat.
