Endless would bei my #1. The crazy thing is in my opinion These were throwaways for him (to geht out of the contract just like prince did Back then). But still this will always be to me the Album With the most meaning. Especially the reverby (or Livestream) version that was out First.
4. Nostalgia, Ultra This is the most derivative Frank's sounded, but theres still some huge highs in this tracklist. I love the sort of immature feel to this tape. Its just a mix of vibes and a very fun listen. 3. Endless Shiiiit this one is a sleeper. Obviously it's not the easiest to listen to this project, but wow some of franks best work is here. Higgs is his best vocal performance ever imo, jaw dropping. This would probably place higher on a preference list, but the project is quite ambient and lacks an abundance of standout moments. While i love albums to just get lost in, i feel like this isnt the fullest display of what frank can do as an artist. If youre looking for something dreamy and ambient though, this is absolute cream of the crop. 2. Channel Orange This album is a crowd pleaser, its quality is totally undeniable and its consistently amazing. Theres much more sonic an emotional variety here, and Franks best song is in this tracklist. If i had to nitpick, id say this still sounds like hes wearing his influences on his sleeve a lot, and this album still felt very familiar-not that thats a bad thing, i think franks just provided a more memorable and unique experience in his catalogue. Idk what else to say theres really no critiques i can level at this album its incredible 1. Blonde Tied for my favorite album of all time. This is the most intimate and personal franks ever gotten, and i also think his best songwriting is on blonde. Its so clever and impactful throughout. “Endless” is severely underrated and my favorite Frank project. The CDQ/vinyl version though, as it does not have “Device Control” & the quality is far superior to the Apple version.
Crazy how in two days frank released two 10/10 records. Endless and blonde are so different that it perfectly shows how good of an artist frank is to create two perfect albums in completely different ways
