    Thanks for the update! Yes sir, I should do more cross training, and will be this year. And I'm going to aim to keep a fifth of my runs at higher intensity and try and make a commitment to myself to do what I can when I need to. Looking forward to following along here man

    My morning routine has changed a bit so now I can't run/walk before work so I'm going to do some yoga. Even this time of year has taken away my evenings, Soooo many things to do around the house. My running is going to suffer. I don't have any races coming up soon so I'm hoping the yoga will be more beneficial then not doing anything at all.

    Good! I wish I had done this a few years ago. I'm now doing weight training with a physical therapist (because of osteoporosis). Be careful trying to lose weight while ultra training - because if you underfuel you might end up with RED-S. It will really mess up your hormones and bone health. I've been on a diet and weight gain roll-a-coaster for years and am now paying the price. Let me be a warning beacon to others on that path (like those doing fasting, carnivore, and keto).

    I lost 100lbs (256 to 156) doing elimination diet and eventually Ketovore OMAD for the first 50lbs, then picked up running and continued intermitent fasting for the last 50lbs. Now i eat what I want but avoid sugar (unless natural like fruit), seed oils, and ultraprocessed food

    Consider doing carnivore lifestyle. Kendberrymd has all the videos.

      I did a mixture of raw fruits and vegetables for a couple months and never felt better in my life and for my research found that the carnivore diet is not a heart healthy diet while it may help you lose weight overall health is affected

      @motivationtheoryrunning I'm 62 years old. Used to eat very high carb diet and would carb load before runs over 90 min diagnosed 2 years ago with type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. Meds caused me to loose muscle mass. Started carnivore 4 months ago. Gained back 12 pounds of muscle. Waist dropped from 38 to 34" chest 43" height 5' 9". Reversed my type 2 diabetes. Still working on the blood pressure. Ultimately it was the higher protein diet that made the difference for me. I'm not an ultra runner yet. Working on that too.

    Hey John....now I have been member of your channel for about three weeks I think and you wont be racing much in 2025 and you quote that you will prioritice your strenght training and maybe be running a 24 hour race later in the year but then you also say you want to make your channel grow and this is one of your goals for 2025. I understand your prioriticing also with family life your wife and five children and then your work,,,,,,,,its understandable John. I understand and this channel have been growing 500 members since I become a member.........right ?? inga dk.

      I’m probably gonna do 2 to 3 ultras this year 100 miler, a 24 hour race and probably something else. Still gonna continue running probably around 1500 miles for the year and focus on my business, which is this channel 💪🏼💪🏼
