My favorite part was when the humming bird had its neck a certain way where you couldn't see any bright colors but if it moved just a tiny bit a big spark of color came from it
Fang being skinny doesn't equal being fit. Skinny people who aren't fit can be the same as a nonfit fat person going up the stairs. Even larger people can have better stamina if they're working out. It's all a matter of how fit you are, not how heavy you are.
spikeshroom I'm very skinny it's cuz I don't eat but most of the day I'm not hungry I've gone to the doc so many time cuz my mom is lost count the doc says there's nothing wrong with me so idk
DRAGONJAVIER 3 It's a mental thing. Your brain just says you're full before you actually are. It's normally the same type of thing with fatter people; their brain tells them they're full later.
I'm from Tucson and as a child here you'll find yourself going to the Desert Museum a LOT on school field trips 😂 It's not as great in person but if Coyote was our teacher I bet we would have had a blast
I have been there about 10 years ago, I am from the Cincinnati area and we have a nice zoo that every class goes to multiple times, I get what you are saying. That being said I was impressed with the Desert Museum, loved the prairie dogs! And the drive out to it in with all the cacti was out of this world.
When I was fighting fire in Oregon these little guys would see our brightly colored helmets and fly circles around our heads, or just ram into the helmet, lol. They seemed to like the yellow ones.
i was so surprised at just how many hummingbirds there are here in Nevada. i moved here 8 months ago. i hardly go a day without seeing hummingbirds :D they're really fun to watch, and they get really close to you!
+Justin Tse - yeah, but that's Arizona. That's ok. That could not work in Texas. In TX everything is big. Their hummingbirds are bigger than storks ...
I live in BC Canada and every summer we get humming birds. When we were kids, my brother and I used to hold our hands under the feeder and they'd come sit on our hands while they fed. It's unbelievable how light and cute they are!
My mom lives in Biggs ca and she has around 5+ feeders for hummingbirds and they are so comfortable with my mom and know she's their source of food so as she sits on her porch if the feeders are empty and need to be filled hummingbirds will literally fly around her head prodding her to get them more food. Once she starts carrying out the feeders they will swarm her fighting each other for the first gulp of that sweet nectar. It's an amazing experience. On hummingbird had gotten trapped in the gazebo at my moms house and I captured it to set it free and I got a few amazing photos holding a bright green hummingbird.
+Johnny Colon It's truly an amazing sight. I guess the hummingbirds come back each year so they are comfortable with my mom. I Joey he with her and say she's running an orphanage for the hummingbirds because they act like children after her attention they buzz around her and bug her until she gets more food hung up they even fight each other over getting her attention and getting food even when there's so many feeders lol
Coyote Peterson you should go to Chile! Some places in the south of Chile have never been explored. "Be brave, stay wild!" but man, extra careful, we don't want to lose you like the crocodile hunter :-)
actually a brick flying at 200 MPH is a cure for life, because it causes death. yeah death. the brick causes death. btw, i cared, i like knowing things, because ignorance also causes death.
I was once lucky enough to get up close and personal with a nest of humming birds in a bush. There were like 10 of them, they were so tiny I thougth they were big bees or baby bats but they were so cute!
I was excitedly observing a nest outside my kitchen for a while but eventually it seemed some creature, probably a rat, found it and ate the eggs. Poor little jelly beans. :(
My grandma found a ruby throated hummingbird partially trapped under a piece of junk in the shed about 7 years ago. She brought it inside and we nursed it back to health. I guess it was grateful to us, because we let it go again it was more or less tame for us. Whenever we went into the front yard it would come buzz around us as if greeting us, and would occasionally land on our finger if we put it out. We named it "Little Buzzer" and it was kinda like an unofficial outside pet from then on.
+Noah Luna HA glad someone noticed that... we didn't even see it till post production and wondered if anyone would notice it there on that branch, good eye!
I live in Phoenix and when I was little I remember my grandmother having a little fountain in her backyard. In the summer, my sister and I could sit in the fountain and if we held real still, the hummingbirds would fly around our heads.
I get that he needs to wear the hat and the adventure outfit to stay in character, but why does he need the giant hiking backpack when he's walking around in a in a sanctuary for hummingbirds, is it just to assure people that he's an outdoorsman? Like he probably could've just left it in the car
+randomguy2447 I carry everything in that pack... and my water so I just always wear it when we are filming...its really annoying when its super hot though!
I wouldn't call that a symbiotic relationship with the spider. and if someone came and stole your house to build there own i think you would agree with me
I saw one when I was 11 visiting my dad's house in Michigan, and I saw a tiny green hummer by a big pink flower... They are sooooo cute and soooo fast!!!
I know this is late, but I used to study ornithology. Especially Hummingbirds. I used to feed them out of my hands with nectar but I haven't done it in so long I would probably have to gain all the new hummingbirds trust again. They're such a great species.
A hummingbird actually made a nest right in front of my door on a window chime and had babies there! I watched them grow up for like a month amd they flew away one day. I got to see how good the mom is to her offspring. Coolest experience.
in the summer time where I live in the southern part of Georgia, there are always hummingbirds all around my yard. so in the summer I put out hummingbird feeders outside of my screened in porch, and they will come right up to you, they are very fun to watch. and I love your videos, I've been watching for alost 8 months.
Haha, I always watch these videos in awe of the wildlife he's handling and observing. This time was a bit different. where I live there are Anna's hummingbirds EVERYWHERE. We have a hummingbird feeder on our patio. It's not uncommon to have them fly right up to you and take a close look, so it was fun to see Coyote getting so excited about something I see every day! =)
If you come to my local creek in Pennsylvania, you will find a lot! All the way from: Frogs, toads, water snakes, bull frogs, newts, Minks, salamanders, crabs, cray fish, snapping turtles, fish, and much more! I always spend a good couple hours exploring in the summer every week. I caught some fish and took them home about 2 years ago, and they are still alive! It's really cool to see wildlife!
I once had a hummingbird get a couple inches from my face! little guy was flying by and he stopped to look at me while i was hiking. Took off after a few seconds but it was amazing! You can hear their little wings flapping almost like a little engine
We have a whole little hummingbird community here in our backyard of Anna's and Rufous hummingbirds. When we first put out the feeders, there were no hummingbirds, but sure enough after trial and error of what water mixture they like (for anyone wondering, it's one cup of white sugar to two cups water boiled until the sugar completely dissolves, let the water cool in the fridge completely before filling the feeder), one came and soon they spread the word. I think we have maybe 10+ individuals total. They are AMAZING birds, very territorial to each other but curious to humans. They're also a lot louder than you'd think when they're near your head, it's a bit frightening at first. We see the males display for females, see them breed and share feeders with their mates, and fight and chase competitors all year round. The best things was seeing the small adolescents we started with go from that similar pale green and underdeveloped gorget to that impressive flash of violet. So blessed to have them little birds to close to witness, it's hard to imagine I was sad we would never have them at our feeders at some point. If you have the ability to feed hummingbirds in your community, I absolutely recommend it. They're so fun to watch, and it's always a wonder how much small creatures survive such a harsh world
I feel like Coyote is just this big puppy dog and stuff when it comes to so many animals and his feelings toward them and then he's just a slightly older puppy dog when he's bitten or stung by anything Coyote = Sam Winchester confirmed
One of the many things that is so cool about hummingbirds apposed to other birds is that they move their wings in a figure eight pattern! Rather than the up and down flapping of most birds. Also as to the relationship between the spiders and hummingbirds, I would say it is mutualistic rather than symbiotic because the spiders don't gain any benefit from having some of their webbing taken. But I would not go as far to say the relationship is parasitic as it's doing no real harm to the spider. Love the show Coyote, kudos to you and the rest of the team that make all this happen!
Out by Mt. Elbert in Colorado almost every morning one of these would buzz around my car window. It was the same one it seems every time... Iridescent green.
Hey Coyote I recently visited Cheyenne Bottoms in Kansas, and it was a great experience and I highly recommend it for an episode or two. It contains 41,000 acres of wetland which contains countless animal species. It's known for it birds, over 600'000 of them. And in mid-March thousands of sandhill cranes stop on the way to their staging area along the Platte River in Nebraska. But it contains reptiles as well including alligator snapping turtles
Honestly this should be a show on the Discovery Channel. Everytime I watch these videos I think im watching a show on the Discovery channel because it feels just so professional and well made. Anyways keep up the good work!
Hummingbirds come around our place all the time. My favorite part about them is how freakishly loud their wings are XD I bought a drone a while ago and even thats only half as loud as them.

so your fat? also you are dead
Fang XD no I'm really skinny and weak. Not anorexic or anything.

I remember seeing hummingbirds outside of my aunt's house every summer. Those things have the coolest wings ever!
We get hummingbirds at home! We used to put out hummingbird feeders outside and we could watch em from our windows, they're sick!
what have you been putting in those feeders to get the birds sick?

Thank God he didn't say that they are " the bomb " . ATF would knock on their door !

Oh my.

+Justin Tse - yeah, but that's Arizona. That's ok. That could not work in Texas. In TX everything is big. Their hummingbirds are bigger than storks ...
This comment can be interpreted in several ways...
Hummingbirds are just the cutest things, so small and colorful

+Coyote Peterson Savage, awesome videos y'all make, thanks for the knowledge and entertainment

I live in BC Canada and every summer we get humming birds. When we were kids, my brother and I used to hold our hands under the feeder and they'd come sit on our hands while they fed. It's unbelievable how light and cute they are!
You have inspired my son to catch lizards
:O
What's wild about that is her son's 30.
I caught one of these birds with my hands before in my garden. It was an amazing experience. One of the calmest birds I've caught as well.
My mom lives in Biggs ca and she has around 5+ feeders for hummingbirds and they are so comfortable with my mom and know she's their source of food so as she sits on her porch if the feeders are empty and need to be filled hummingbirds will literally fly around her head prodding her to get them more food. I love hummingbirds. Smallest birds of the world, and so many incredible adaptations!

+Felipe Gonzalez Yes starting in 2016 we will be world wide.
+Coyote Peterson when your world wide can you go to Australia
+Coyote Peterson come to Ireland
Coyote Peterson you should go to Chile! Some places in the south of Chile have never been explored. "Be brave, stay wild!" but man, extra careful, we don't want to lose you like the crocodile hunter :-)
+Vickie Pyle let him first experience the world before you send him into a dead trap xD
Humming birds are one of my favorite birds
Nice vid, can't go wrong with hummingbirds. They are way cool.
The symbiotic relationship between them is commensalism
Fun fact: The worlds smallest bird, the bee humming bird, can flap its wings up to over 200 times per second
fun fact: a brick flying at 200 mph hitting someone's face is a great cure for nobodycaresism
actually a brick flying at 200 MPH is a cure for life, because it causes death. yeah death. the brick causes death. btw, i cared, i like knowing things, because ignorance also causes death.

Fun fact: did you all now that humming birds flap there wings in a 8 pattern. that helps them hover in the air!
I’ve always known

Is Shawnee related to you or are your last names just a coincidence? Love your videos! :)
This needs to be a TV series.
I get that he needs to wear the hat and the adventure outfit to stay in character, but why does he need the giant hiking backpack when he's walking around in a in a sanctuary for hummingbirds, is it just to assure people that he's an outdoorsman? Like he probably could've just left it in the car

Omg the Anna s are so pretty every hummingbird is pretty the Anna's are. My new favourite hummingbird type
I wouldn't call that a symbiotic relationship with the spider.
and if someone came and stole your house to build there own i think you would agree with me
Ah, when I at first made my comment I thought symbiotic expressly ment they helped each other. Guess i was wrong.
Love his energy and enthusiasm!

I Live in NC, Hendersonville and I saw a yellow hummingbird with a red belly sucking nectar out of my flowers!
We have a whole little hummingbird community here in our backyard of Anna's and Rufous hummingbirds. Hummingbirds are like the Blackhawk helicopters of the bird world, really badass little critters.
i lived here in tucson and I've never been in that place.
now after watching this vid im definitely goin to the museum.😄
I love humming birds.

I’ve been to this museum. What an awesome experience! I highly recommend.
Out by Mt. Elbert in Colorado almost every morning one of these would buzz around my car window. It was the same one it seems every time... Iridescent green.
They are territorial. He was probably attempting to scare you off his area.
Heh, the tiny little guy was picking a fight.
Hey Coyote I recently visited Cheyenne Bottoms in Kansas, and it was a great experience and I highly recommend it for an episode or two. Amazing.
Hummingbirds come around our place all the time. My favorite part about them is how freakishly loud their wings are XD I bought a drone a while ago and even thats only half as loud as them.
