The Boston and Maine Potato box cars are a great purchase, Dave. Very special. You made some good acquisitions with the extra $ you got from selling the GG1. Thanks for the videos of the O, S and HO layouts. They all looked fantastic. A nice visit to First Frost Train Show at Allentown!
Whoa...two potato boxcars. I've been looking for one in O scale for years. MTH has the B&M color blue done correctly...great boxcar. Eastwood Automobilia always had some great die cast through Ertl. Good Stuff ! 👍
It was funny, I was really done but saw this box tucked in a dark corner and the little train nerd in my head told me to check it out, so glad I did! I’m sure most people at the show didn’t even see the box sitting there.
Love your latest acquisitions Dave! The State of Maine cars are right up my alley. I’ve been collecting them for the last year. Excellent coverage as usual! 👍
Way to go Dave I didn't know they had potato ones I had to start looking plus I'm stuck on that State of Maine cars now. Can't wait to see what else you got coming next me and my wife enjoy watching you and learning
Thank you so much. Yeah the potatoes car snuck up on me and then later I was told they were hard to find, glad I was able to add these two to the collection.
Dave, I'd grab those SOM potato cars for $10 any day! For that kind of money I'd figure out a way to make 'em work! Love those potato cars! Now that Public Service bus card is a real keeper! I've never seen one. Absolutely, make some copies and frame the original to preserve it, it's found the best home around and you've got to preserve it, a real heirloom! Thanks for posting!
I have an MTA state of Maine car New Haven, I have been looking for one for years and stumbled across the one I have last month at one of the many train shops I go to, but I can't remember what train shop I bought it from
I have a Williams cattle car that I am converting from two rail to 3 rail and I have to build it myself no markings or nothing on it I guess you could say it's an open canvas for mine and I can put any road name on it and road number on it. I know it is all black and can hall cow's
I hear $20 and $30 for rolling stock. My rail cars run $5 to $15 for genuine Lionel post war in nice condition. I spend as if it’s a hobby not an investment. I’m thinking $30 for a box car and I spent $85 for a 2343 Santa Fe engine pair in great shape. The F3 engines would be cost exceeded by only 3 rail cars using your shopping technique. Challenge or not.

Thanks! I’m really happy with the new cars.
I always enjoy filming layouts, I could spend all day doing it!
Thanks for the video of the club layouts. They were all impressive.
Glad you liked them!
Good to meet you on Saturday. Glad you were able to find some things. I didn’t find any Marx I was looking for.
It was good to meet you too! Marx, or should I say nice Marx at a good price, is hard to find sometimes.
And yet...another State of Main car! Great show. I was pretty worn out by the time I got home also.
It was a great show. Glad we got to hang out for a while. I was beat!
Very nice haul you got. Really like the layouts over there at the Allentown first frost show as well as the s gauge layout.
I always love seeing S gauge layouts, this one was really nicely done
great video as always Dave!.... Lots of good stuff! ....very enjoyable!
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it!

@@dagryffynhobbyMost definitely! 😊
Marx guy here, State of Maine cars are the Beas Knees, whatever brand.

The State of Maine cars are so iconic. You have a nice lashup of them now. Don't go too overboard with them like your Baby Ruth cars. lol
Thanks. I’ve got this under control! Maybe….
Awesome Video! Thank You👍🙏🔥💪🇺🇸❤️
Thanks!Glad you liked it!

Thanks, it was a good show!
Nice haul. You make me wish that I was more into O then S. LOL
Haha, there are benefits to each!

Thanks Wayne. I think there might have been another potato car, I should have bought all he had!
Nice job👍👍🤜🏻
Thanks!
Great haul Dave. Did you notice the caboose window hit that auto-rack on the curve around 19:55 ?
I saw that.
I didn’t but I did think the cars were too close together. I’ll go check that out now.
You need the New Haven State of Maine car to round out your collection.
I think I have two New Haven versions
You should see my SOM boxcar collection
Send me some pics!
Did you know the tidewater in Western Pacific have the same feather on their box cars
I did not!
Was that Nix I saw in one of the background shots? 😀
Sure was!

Nice. Stumbling upon a piece you’ve been looking for is always fun
I see nick video tapeing in the backround
Always at work!
Do you have more scale GG1s for sale?
No GG1s for sale, sorry

That sounds like a great project.
