I keep hoping that one of these days I’ll get a male Oriole and male Redstart side by side at the bird pond 🙂 🤞 Thanks for watching and have a great week!
What a great episode!! Well done!! Such variety, and birdy personality 😂. I'm not proficient at Warbler IDing yet, but I'm learning. As a whole group they seem to be the most non-confrontive and peaceable of all the birds. I really do enjoy them. Thanks SO much!! Have a great week!! 🥰🌿♥️
Let's see: a bunch of Chestnut Sided Warblers; I think a Tennessee Warbler; a Yellow-Throated Warbler; a Black & White Warbler and maybe a little Northern Parula? Since I'm on the West coast, I will likely never see this little birds in person, but it is such fun to watch them on your posts! Thanks!
Close! In that last group of birds, there were several Chestnut-sided warblers, several Tennessee Warblers, and a Black and White Warbler, plus a couple Bay-breasted Warblers and a Blackburnian Warbler (that’s probably what you thought was a Yellow-throated - they’re similar). Good job! Thanks for watching and have a great week!
Seeing the tentative, cautious behavior of some of the birds made me think how "nerve-wracking" migration must be...stopping over in unknown territory. Also, how welcoming to find somewhere nice to wash up! ❤❤❤😊
Wen't on one of my favorite trail's today. Saw/heard over 20 species of bird's. I'm just not seeing the abundance of Warbler's yet. So far the Redstart, Wilson's, Bay Breasted,Tennessee and Oven bird. I love watching your videos because it gives me hope that other's will be showing up. The hummer's are active and will be leaving soon. Haven't seen the Orioles though. I find where there are Chicadee's around I'll see a plethora of other bird's. Thank's for another fine display of God's little feathered beauties.
Hopefully fall migration will continue for a while. I just had a Blue-winged Warbler arrive yesterday and a few more Swainson’s Thrushes. The warblers do follow the chickadees and Tufted Titmice here too. I think they know that the local birds know where food sources are. Thanks for watching!
I sure enjoyed the video. I’m not doing well at identifying all the different warblers tho I expect to get better especially if I get some different ones at my little pond.
Warblers are kind of difficult. There are a lot of them and so look completely different in the fall than they do during breeding season. There are several that I still have to look up each year. Thanks for watching and good luck with the bird pond. Fingers crossed you get some interesting fall visitors!
I’d say 1/4” to 1/2” will appeal to the widest variety of birds. Some birds prefer the thin flow of water over flat rocks. Bluebirds seem to like the water a little deeper, maybe around 3/4”.
Absolutely love warblers, all birds. Such an amazing spot. Thank you.
Happy Sunday 🪶
Thanks for watching and Happy Sunday!
How awesome to have such a variety of visitors. I especially enjoyed seeing the Redstart and Orioles.

I can’t imagine what that journey must be like. My goal is to provide a safe place for them to rest up, fatten up, and clean up along the way. 🙂
WOW!
So many cuties.. thank you for sharing!

What would you say is their preferred water depth?
