    I watch every single video and every single live at least once but usually a few times. When traveling, in the shower, at home and at work, I am listening. I am not a mega commenter but I am here 💯

    Great expectation of cams, and I love the idea of boosting an amc 4.0 in a jeep. Tricky with the exhaust and intake design on that.

    When I built the 383 sbc for My Nova,I wanted torque.

    I definitely work on too many cars to be for one or another but I will say pontiacs always look pretty slick and even when I owned my Camaro and chevelle people give me way more compliments on my gxp. I miss that 71 chevelle everyday though… it was gorgeous. It was a tubbed out prostreet car though not super street friendly . Maroon with the white stripes and black vinyl roof cover lol weird stuff they used to do of looks

    1:09:35 Fix the stock rockers, the stock LS isn't bad once they are "straighten up". 👍

    Torque is more prevalent in longer stroke engines down low. Short stroke engines move the Torque further up in the rpm range. More static compression helps to produce torque too.

    Have you played with Buick Nailheads? I kinda have a weird desire to drop a nailhead into a classic pickup of some sort.

    I miss these lives everytime, im building an lm7, have a LBT cam, was thinking of a fast intake and possibly the summit cast 210 cath heads. Basicly just looking for good drivability overall but I would like to turbo eventually and do a local drag and drive event. Basicly asking for everything but what are your thoughts.

    • @richardholdener1727
      @richardholdener1727  Місяць тому

      I would save the money on the intakes and heads and get the turbo set up-you don't need those with boost

    • @RossFreier-bi5vy

      I didnt think so, what do you think for potential power? I was just curious for future endeavors when i inevitably start turning things up. Just want to make sure i upgrade any internals along the way.
      Also how do we comment on the lives?

    The destroking is better with comes from sbc . 327 large bearing corvet vs 350 truck motor, both same parts less rotating assembly the 327 shifts tq to the right = more hp through more rpm at same piston speed. At least that was my understanding back in the 90's-2000's

    • @richardholdener1727
      @richardholdener1727  Місяць тому +1

      a destroked motor makes less power everywhere

    • @daviddroescher
      @daviddroescher Місяць тому

      @richardholdener1727 old superstitions are hard to kill with channels like yours we may yet kill the beast. the argument back in the day was long stroke comes apart earlier than a short stroke. I'm about tq so give me the long stroke 383 and keep that princess 327.

    • @PSA78
      @PSA78 Місяць тому

      Torque is trapped oxygen for one combustion, HP is trapped oxygen over a minute. Bore/stroke don't matter much on its own, really short stroke might not move the piston away quickly enough at low rpm which could impact flow, and really long stroke will limit the size of the valve size and therefore flow for high rpm.
      Bottom line, unless you're in a highly competitive racing class shoveling money for every last tenth of a second it's usually nothing to lose sleep over. 👍

    What the hell even does an h pipe do?

    • @cedricwilson2055
      @cedricwilson2055 Місяць тому +1

      X and h pipes change the sound and supposedly boost torque . I like an X pipe because it lessens the glass pack sound and you can run greener flowing mufflers

    • @PSA78
      @PSA78 Місяць тому +2

      It can help equalise the pressure between the two pipes, it's mostly been used on engines with uneven firing order (seen from bank to bank).
