Peak Design Slim Wallet REVIEW; minimalist PERFECTION?

- I've been carrying the Peak Design Slim Wallet for a few weeks and find it to be the BEST MagSafe AND in general minimalist wallet I've carried. Why? It works with my mobile phone and as a stand lone wallet without looking odd. Capacity is impressive, with usability and access being elegant.

Big fan of Peak's pouches! They are so thoughtful in their design. This little wallet looks mighty nice and minimal. I like.
Something to consider when testing the magnet strength. The case is at least half of the equation in determining the strength. Not all cases with MagSafe are created equal. If you use this wallet with a MagBak case for instance, it is a much stronger connection. Something to consider for future reviews.

nice looking wallet; one point that many mini or FP wallets miss is that many of us carry vehicle registrations, driver licenses and yes, even insurance cards. Some people advocate leaving reg/ins in the car's glove box but I've never considered that prudent. So, any wallet that I choose has to be able to hold a debit and a credit card, 3 registration and ins. cards and my driver's license. I can still fit all that into a FP wallet but the trade-of is I use a separate money clip to hold bills. All tht said, this PD wallet looks very well thought out. I wish they had included an Apple airtag holder, a feature which is becoming more and more prevalent in the mini wallet world. Thanks for the video!

Is this RFID protected? I could use this for my oyster card if not...
It is not from what I read and from trying my own tap test it worked fine.
Did you test it with Apple MagSafe Cases? To me, with them it works just fine.
I didn't, but I did directly on my phone and it was about the same. The case I have is a certified case and is razor thin.

Hi! I have both, the magnets on the Peak Design are very much stronger when you put it on the caseless phone. Also you need to consider that the case you’re using must have a decent magnets.

From another review of this one I learned, it only works well with their own case, it then does not go anywhere, so I guess it was intended to not work very well wirh other magsafe cases…

Great looking wallet which is ruined by the weak MagSafe magnet. ☹️
Other comments say they have no such issues.
It's not actually MagSafe, it's their own pattern. It's MagSafe compatible, yes, but it works insanely good with their case. The case is also available for other leading phone brands, Samsung, google. Without their case, it's not great, but it works.
I use it on my iphone 13 PM and it works without a case, also works with a silicone MagSafe case, but it's super solid with their own case. I would recommend the stand wallet over the "normal" one, now that is a versatile wallet!

@@Paa375 The case is not slippery at all, it's textured with some sort of "cloth-like" fabric.
Doesn't add a lot of weight, but it does not have a lot of "lip" to protect the screen if you drop your phone face down. It's the best feeling case i have used though. Only ever used leather or silicone cases though.
Probably better cases out there, but it's insanely good paired with the peak design eco-system. So only consider it if you are getting something else aswell

I rarely use it with my phone. Frankly, I only introduced the MagSafe in the review since it was a feature, but I use it almost exclusively without it being attached to my phone.
They have a phone case it can go on now for Android
every time I see that the wallet makes me fold bills twice, I immediately turn it off.
