Thano Forest area is situated 15kms from Dehradun city and 35kms from Rishikesh. To reach Thano Range from Dehradun, you can either take public transport or hire a taxi. If you take public transport, you will have to get off at Bhaniyawala. From Bhaniyawala, the village is within a walking distance. Private taxis will take you directly to the village as the roads are well maintained.
The nearest airport from Thano Range is Jolly Grant Airport at a distance of about 4kms. The nearest railway station is Dehradun Railway Station at a distance of 30kms.
