Awesome video! I’d love to do something like this one day with my beta breeding adventures. I am on day 8 with my first beta spawn. The female betta is a marble VT and the male is a copper HMPK, so watching your copper babies grow up into such beautiful bettas is really exciting.
Doing the water changes and keeping the water clean of extra food has been the part I’ve found most difficult in raising the fry as I always get so worried about siphoning them up. I’ll probably try using snails to clean up the extra food and removing their waste in the future.
Breeding that can cause genetic disorder. I have had experience like that

I've had my male betta mate with two females not at the same time but different times and both times the eggs do not hatch .

How old do we need to separate them once they hatch?
4-10 days..if the male starts to eat the frys.take it out immediately. (Remove female as soon as she lays eggs as she might eat eggs) as said in the video.

I used to have a breeding pair, and when the eggs were laid both bettas had fun eating them right afterwards. I've also noticed that, unlike your pair, my female shut shot off all the eggs in an instant instead of laying them slowly.

I think betta halfmoon is the most difficult betta to breed.
Actually it is easier than breeding giant bettas..there are few reasons why you fail.. 1. The fry already sick/low genetic resistance.. 2. Ammonia spike 3. Starving to death.. this is just my opinion.. keep trying and im sure you can do it..

Look under her belly. You see a small white spot like salt. She ready breed. To get more eggs condition her with high protein food
Why my betta didnt lay eggs we use that in the video but theres no eggs so we put them back again in their old aqaurium
Maybe they are not in good condition yet.

@@6maquariumfish I feed the adults frozen brine shrimp, frozen blood worms, freeze dried blood worms and when I have someone take care of them while I’m on trips they eat pellets. They’ve only ever actually laid eggs one and the male ate the eggs and they never laid again.
