- Hi everyone! We couldn't wait for this travel day to try something new! None of us had ever been to Mexico before. We travelled from Manchester Airport to Cancun and stayed for two weeks at the Planet Hollywood Resort.
In amongst the travel chaos Tui subbed our flight to Hifly and we flew on an Flypop aircraft which was... interesting!

Hey guys, new subscriber alert! Watched all the vlogs from your last Orlando expedition and loved them. Looked back over a few of the older ones and have been impressed how Jim's comedic personality has bloomed over the years......definitely my kind of subtle humour!
Really looking forward to this series. I was cabin crew for BA in the late 90's/early noughties and we would get seven day trips to Cancun, once a month on average. Really enjoyed my time there. The beach is stunning, the food was amazing, shopping fantastic, excursions were really interesting. All in all a great place. The nightlife from my blurred memory was a different level, absolute carnage with a crew of thirteen! Oh the stories I could tell you.....probably only suitable for Jim's ears!
Keep the vlogs coming guys, makes my day when I see a new one appear. Such a lovely family and great to have a channel with such joy by the bucket load.

What an amazing room and that view cannot wait to see it in the daylight. Just love your videos, you are such an upbeat honest family. HeyGuys! Oh wow we were so excited to get the alert of your new vlog! Especially when we saw it was to Cancun. We had booked the Hard Rock in Riviera Maya and had it cancelled in 2020 and 2021 :( So watching your vlog has given us so much excitement as the Planet Hollywood looks so much better!! we are online right now to see if we can get it through TUI Netherlands from Amsterdam for 2023..Thank you for another great vlog, we can't wait to see the rest! Jimmy , Noah and Roderigo are loving your tshirt..they are huge Vans fans too, TheirGrandma and Grandad just came back from Florida and brought loads of Vans tshirts back for them..I can't believe they fit into an American adult small size at just 11 and 12 :) Lots of love to the 3 of you and have a great weekend xx

I loved this vlog. It’s funny but it made me think back to the days before mobile phones and tablets, people actually had to talk to each other. The hotel room looks amazing, how nice to have that space.

Watched your orlando vlogs before we went on our holiday to florida, we're just back and your videos helped so much while we were away thank you so much for sharing your tips and recommendations with us cause they really helped. My seven year old has watched some so the despicable three were getting a mention on our holiday as we were trying restaurants etc by my son 🤣brilliant thanks for taking the time to share with us, watching your cancun videos as my mum is currently at the same hotel at the moment, to see what it's like.

Im certain I commented on this vlog last night, although it was the early hours so who even knows 😴😂 Hotel looks incredible, and we totally lost it at the scales in the bathroom (in an all inclusive resort!? What were they thinking!? 😂). Loving the Fila trackies too Jim, proper takes me back. Great vlog guys 🙌🏻

Room service on the first night has gotta be done in the Caribbean 🍔 🍟 🥤 looks amazing so far!! (minus Hifly airlines 😂, hope you got Tui Dreamliner home 🤞🏼) xx
We were shattered and I wanted to make use of our room amenities after that flight... i.e the telly. We got Tui Nordic on the way back and a dreamliner 🙌
Apart from the entertainment not a bad journey all things considered. I always fly British Airways and American Airlines to Cancun and stopover in Miami or New York for a couple of days, it gets extra air miles, breaks the journey, and no extra fare just need to get you hotel. I always arrange private transfers about £100 return so you have a driver waiting for your with your name. Cancun arrivals is pretty slick usually and 45mins to an hour is par for the course. I’ve always got spare “entrance exams” for Mexico as they are quite long. What you didn’t say is don’t lose the bit they give you back as that costs you some money and a delay when leaving Mexico.
Glad you didn’t have the 6 hour delay but for that flight Tui would have had to compensate you All £520 so a nice £1560 towards the next trip or stuff at home. Very much looking forward to this series.
That's a good point about keeping hold of the paperwork (luckily we did) but there were anumber of people on our transfer that hadn't. It will get covered off on our last day video 😊

. We just got back from Florida...found it extremely very worn down after 9 visits and this one post covid. I Drive now toward North end...run down and I encountered loads of homeless people on my early morining runs....incredibly hot..and theme parks busy as usual. I've got a few American - friends over the years and they are literally on their "knees" economically at the moment. First time ever I have been to Florida when It was cheaper to eat and drink in England by a long way...that was a surprise! I till managed to run 6.1 K in that crazy heat on my 61st birtheday... I think I have had my fill of Florida now. I'm pleased that you get to travel like you do. Take care.
The North end is looking like a shadow of its former self but I think that the construction of Epic Universe will bring much needed investment in to the area and it will improve. Fingers crossed anyway.

14:27 From left to right, you have cathay pacific A350-900ULR on flight CX216 to Hong Kong, followed by Qatar Boeing 777-300ER on flight QR28 (I think) to Doha Hamad. Finally you have Etihad Airways B787-10 (not sure flight number) to Abu Dhabi. Not your plane sadly. If it was though, they’d send you there instead of bussing you over
Hotel looks incredible can’t wait to see that view in the morning. Honestly your luck with planes! First no catering then no entertainment. We had no entertainment in Jan but luckily the plane was half empty so were able to move xx

American airports have TSA precheck which allows you mostly skip security checks. you simply run your bag through the x-ray and you walk through a quick machine scan and that's it. no separating things out just in/out 30 seconds unless they find something but usually nothing. you have to pay a fee and do a background check but worth it. its good for 5 years or more depending. I got because i travel a lot for various things so its just get it done and you get through quick. I know most other countries don't have this idea just something to think about. doesn't help at the ticket window but it helps after as you go through that line with no one in it.

It will be our 1st time in Mexico
We took a mixture of USD and Pesos. We tipped a couple of dollars in the buffet and by the pool for drinks service. We also tipped our waiters in the restaurants- usually $5-10. We tipped housekeeping $3 per day and $2-3 for the person filling the minibar back up.
Hi just found your channel. Really liked this video. HiFly is a Portuguese leading company. They mainly have Airbus planes which Tui has Boeing. Hope this clears things up. Hope you enjoyed your flights and your holiday.
The flight out was grim with Hi Fly but the holiday was fantastic and a great flight back with Tui Nordic. Thank you 😊

We went to an all inclusive resort in Turkey a couple of years ago due to Florida not happening and the amount of complaints people had despite expected restrictions due to covid was unreal..we absolutely loved the resort and fallen in love with Turkey 🇹🇷 ( still not better than Florida though 😀)
People often have unreasonable expectations and expect to be waited on hand and foot and not have to wait... for anything. Blows my mind.
Sorry Jim, but watching you being a martyr on that flight out was hilarious........ now watch Karma strike me down for laughing when it happens to me on the flight to Orlando later this year! haha

Thank full we got a dreamliner on the way back and it was a much more comfortable experience. The hotel definitely made up for the cruddy plane 😂

Bringing back a few memories different hotel but we was there week before you during tropical storm . Still loved it tho x

Hotel looks lush 💕💕 Mexico is on our list was looking at Tulum but this looks fabulous Thankyou for sharing .They will do direct flights now to Mexico from a Doncaster Airport so that’s why we thought about a Mexico think start in a July this year 💕💕

We chose Planet Hollywood due to all the movie theming and plenty of things to keep Jimmy entertained. We loved it although it's a little out of the way - about an hour from the main cancun hotel zone. Would love to fly there from Donny 👌
