I keep revisiting this video. So well done. But the music is well beyond well done. How is it that Rubblebucket can craft so many songs. Each one very distinct and catchy, and melodic, and memorable, and dancey. I can't think of a single Rubblebucket song that seems like it could be interchangeable with another. I believe they have indeed sucessfully crafted a Sun Machine. Every song is sunshine in my ears and very soul.
Just saw them for the fourth time in austin texas. Venue changed at the last moment and they still absolutely killed it. The audience were all obvious loving fans.
Saw them tonight in Atl at Terminal West. I love to hear Kalmia sing and I love to watch Alex dance. And I love love love when they're belting that brass!
Magic. Ample amounts of authentic selflessness. Fearless invitation to experience the entire desire of this tribe and its beautiful lead expresser’s collective minds, hearts, energy, perspectives, vulnerabilities, do good-keep it real souls, dues paid music muscle masters, love and more love kind of love you gotta love and lastly an obvious deep as deep gets loyalty to trusting that underrated, wildly brilliant, generous, Rock Star in its own right GUT. Not often do we have the utter pleasure of being exposed to what humans who are living life inside the arena, never once seeking a seats in the audience but instead daring greatly as doers of dynamic deeds. Chutzpah never served an artistic host so effectively in the way it does with Rubblebucket. Way back in 2007, usually down around Church Street in Burlington, VT, when I had the good fortune to pop into a Rubblebucket performance at whim, the magnetic pull in their compositions were already pronounced. Like, way way pronounced. Now, with the colors that come from a longer lived life, the lyrics not only reached the “higher ground” where the musicians always played from, these more seasoned lyrics along with Kal’s slow-brewed, curious and dynamic vocals earned that Chair 1 privilege and a respectful shift by the band into a supporting role fit for a Queen and her stories to tell. Sincerely, Loquacious One
I just want to say before listening to this, I heard Swamp Dogg's "Answer Me, My Love", and the segue from one song to another is FREAKING perfect! Sorry to waste your time.
This is so stupid. In the best possible way. Don’t know if anything will live up to survival sounds for me, but new Rubblebucket is always good Rubblebucket!
yeah its more like a duo now :/ , i was a huge fan until Survival Sounds tour, i think that was their peak, now i dont really know where are they heading. i hope the new album raise my hopes
you throw your head back, put your tongue out and do T REX arms and jump in a circle, she knows what she's doing She laughed and fell over the first time she saw it
If you do drugs, have a sober friend around to keep you from doing something really dumb. And maybe screw with you a little bit, they have to have their fun too.
Now that's what I call art volume 5. Nice when your musicians have character and are actual fucking artists. Great song Rubble, dig your vibe.
