It's a little over a month since I replaced this and the other side broke. Needless to say I kept the second spring so it should be a quick, easy fix.

Pleased to find this task as easy as the video described. Great guide video!

ALWAYS do both at the same time.
It's like changing one burned out headlight. If you only do one, the other WILL burn out at the worst time. 😁

I wish I had seen this tutorial before I tried fixing my Bosch dishwasher door springs based on another tutorial I found online. Your instructions are better and your video is 10 x easier to follow along. Great job! You did, however, skip the part on how to get the dishwasher pulled out so you can replace the parts but I'll forgive you because you did a stellar job on the rest :)

I tried so many times over the past 1.5 yrs to fix my door spring. Bought springs but they didn't come with replacement plastic pieces (which are what really broke, idk if those springs can be broken 😅)... Watched your video a few days ago and bought the kit you recommended!! 🎉🎉🎉 THANK YOU!! 😊 I hope I used the right link so you get some type of credit!!

This video was exactly what I needed. Ordered the part, followed the directions, and voila! Thanks for making such a thorough video!

I found it much easier to thread the line on everything then grab the spring with pliers and pull the spring back to the slot. It slid right in with not much trouble at all. Thanks for the tutorial - saved me 450.00 quoted by Bosch to come and repair it! Yay!!!!

Thanks so much!! We just fixed ours in about 20 minutes, most of which was carefully inspecting the bracing the installers used to put it in place! Works like a dream and we saved the other spring.

Your video was, for me, a message from the universe telling me to get off my Fanny and repair my Bosch dishwasher door. I’ve have the replacement springs so long that I’ve gotten used to “making do” with the broken spring! Thanks!!

Mine was only broken a few days. I knew if I didn't fix it quickly my wife would want a new dishwasher (this is around 10 years old).

Just a small hint.. use the plier on the spring and pull forward makes it a lot easier than pulling on the cord.

If one goes, the life of the remaking one is short so might as well replace both. Takes less time than pulling dishwasher out again. Thanks for video.

I appreciate that you show how the connections are made. The instructions that come with the part are totally inadequate for that.

the bigger issue I had was keeping the clamps a the top (to screw into cabinet) in place.

Mine got bent really bad a few years ago when someone ran into the dishwasher while it was open. I actually had a tech fix (re-bend) the clips for free when he was doing some recall service on it. There might be a way bend them to make them more secure.

Thanks for the video, did you have to unplug the water or drain hookups for this?

Good question. I should have covered that. In many cases, there will be enough slack in the lines to pull the dishwasher out without disconnecting anything. You might be able to see the slack in the lines under the sink adjacent to the dishwasher. If there is no slack, you probably need to disconnect.
