- Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share this new birthday party prep with you! I can't believe my sweet Eleanor is 8 years old! She wanted a rainbow birthday party so I did my best to give that to her! I share a party haul, and all of the things I did to make this rainbow party come alive! I put together some fun rainbow party activities that they kids really enjoyed, and I put together some fun food, a backdrop, and ... I don't know what else oh cupcakes! Those didn't turn out how I imagined they would but... they're great nonetheles. haha Thanks for party prepping with me! could also work for a unicorn birthday party... or just a normal tuesday afternoon.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Mrs Whisk you are definitely "The woman across the room". You go above and beyond to host but I especially love how you make sure you show your children how special they are. I totally appreciate videos like this. @@allisonmiller3148 right me too! I didn't it for my four children. Especially my baby girl (she's 22 now) just because she was my only girl and boys eventually didn't want "theme" parties. My baby girl eloped and moved across the United States (Georgia and I'm in Arizona) and she still talks about how mom would go overboard in anything she was involved with (I love hearing her talk about it). She says she can only imagine what I will be like when she (eventually) has a child. Watching Mrs Whisk interact with her children and everything she does for them, seriously puts a smile on my face. I love her channel for that reason ❤

Kim you’re such an amazing mom! You could easily just make one big birthday party for all the kids to save you time and money but instead you make each child their own party with their favorite theme. The kids are honestly so lucky to have you as their mom ❤️
We’ve combined parties in the past but the kids are at the age when they just have different friends and different interests, it makes sense to do it this way and make them each have their own moment ♥️
@@thewadsquad Yeah I understand that still doing individual birthday parties for all the kids in one month, just after Thanksgiving and in the month as Christmas and New Year, you’re a wonder woman Kim 💪
These kids don't know how lucky they are, never once have I had a birthday party like this thrown for me! I hope to be able to do this for my children, you are the woman across the room 💕
Extravagant parties don’t mean you love your kid more then someone who does less. Kids don’t care as much as you think they do. They won’t resent you if you can’t throw then a party like this. If you can that’s great but if not it’s ok. As long as kids know you love them that is what matters!

I always do a big number for each birthday. It's a great way to remember the theme of the party as the years go by. Sometimes I've kept it simple and just made a paper one, other years I've made it from scratch. For my daughter's 8th, I made crepe paper flowers and stuck them into a foam 8. Took ages! But it was worth it and we still have it. She'll be 13 next year. time flies.
I’ve seen a few of those on Pinterest with the paper flowers!! So gorgeous!!

Kids grow so fast. My "baby" will be 5 on Tuesday. My middle just turned 13. My oldest will be 15 Feb 7th. It's crazy!
They do! My oldest will be 19 and my youngest is already turning 2 this month. Time is a thief! 😭
Aldi's has gluten free yellow cake for around$2.50 a box. It's really good, and we just use coconut milk instead of butter. We also use it as a base for Carrot cake,(add spices etc to make it work)or pour the dry mix over 3 cans of peaches for Peach cobbler, add Bananas for the best banana cake ever🙌 You don't have to feel like it's an alternative cake!🎉

Such wonderful memories, & 8 is truly a magical age. Eleanor's smile said it all:) You mentioned a spa day, & reminded me of my daughter's 8th, & it was a spa-themed sleepover. Everyone took turns using my footbath machine (changing water per child), & each had tinted nail polish, the thing that goes between the toes, a little loofah, trial-sized lotion, & goodie baskets instead of bags, w/inexpensive washcloths, cuticle scrubbers, cotton balls/q-tips, & the rest. It was a hit, w/o much planning at all.
Your party skills are next level, & each one is so special & individual per child! They pick the cutest themes, too, which is precious

Kim, you're such an inspiration and one amazing momma! You're making wonderful memories for your kids. You've given me lots of meal and party ideas for my daughter's second birthday, on the 18th. You're so creative! you've also given me some ideas on where to shop for decorations and things like that. I did get the "main" things (Minnie Mouse, she's a huge Minnie fan). I just need a few more things; and watching your videos make me feel less overwhelmed about it. Thank you. ☺️💚

You're such a sweet Mom! My Grandma had 13 kids, my Dad is the 7th. She would say she loved all her children, but sometimes she was too tired to enjoy them and even like them. Isn't that sad? She would come to the grandkids birthday parties and say how nice it was to enjoy the day, not have to work herself to death for everyone else. I really do appreciate you liking your kids, wanting to spend time with them and make their birthday special. It's something most Mom's want to do but just can't find the energy. Yes!! Especially when it comes to other peoples parties because there is gluten and dairy everywhere!! I always make sure to bring a treat and snacks with us!

I mean I would have been overwhelmed with the planning and gathering of materials needed, frustrated that my skills wouldn’t have looked like any pictures…lol. That rainbow backdrop was the best! Kids will be happy with whatever you can do. As long as they feel special they don’t care how elaborate the party is
Sometimes the easiest templates to use are the ones you create from items in your house. To make the rainbow you needed a larger bowl and a smaller bowl and just put the bowl down and trace the top of the rainbow and then use a smaller bowl to make the inside Arch. With food and dishes you always have the shape that you need for tracing around to make anything. Some combination of items in your house will work to make what you're seeing in the vision in your mind. Using a pencil you can erase lines that you don't need from items that go on top of one another. Make one and then use it to trace to make others. You are crafty you are creative. You just tell yourself you're not so you halfway believe it. Stop saying that to yourself sweetheart and you will be anything and everything you want to be. You do extraordinary things in your heart is so big and bursting you can accomplish anything you imagine! I'm proud of you!

I was always told that my birthday was too close to Christmas to celebrate it! Once I turned 4 it was never mentioned again! Our Christmas presents were never wrapped either! If you were curious what was going to be under the tree, all you had to do was look on the shelf in the front hall closet. Needless to say I made a few changes when I had my own kids!
