I remember when my sister showed me Mixi's solo stuff after she won the show Redemption Song. Always wondered why she never took off until randomly the band followed me on twitter, and I realized this was the same woman.
I would have never guessed from her solo stuff that she'd be doing something in this genre of music. Crazily small world.

I have been a fan of Mixi since her days on Redemption Song. It is so awesome to see how she has evolved over the years. Everything about her is amazing and her voice is perfect! I am so proud of you Mixi! I see big things in the future for Stitched Up Heart!!!

You have no idea how many times I've listened to this song let alone the music video
I saw them live at a show in DC a couple of years ago and was able to talk to Mixi and the rest of the band after the show. I was hoping to buy the CD this song is on since I like supporting bands directly. Turns out you can't find this on Spotify or purchase the song from the band because the label that produced this album owns their music (That album specifically) and isn't selling it . . . I hate it when labels do that to a band. Fucking shame. Grave is the song that got me into their band in the first place.

She's got excellent timing on the words, as well as an awesome breakdown sequence.
Mixi's voice in this, to this day still gives me chills. She's incredible!

Actually the singer of SUH kinda reminds me more of Flyleaf. Maria Brink has such a sultry, sexy, kinda pouty voice that it makes me want to reach out and give her a hug and make her day better, and mine too! LOL
Gerald McKee--Actually, Lacey Sturm (ex-Flyleaf singer) and her new new band have been touring with Stitched Up Heart and two other bands (Letters From The Fire and Palisades). I went to the concert in Orlando in January. Fantastic show. I talked with Mixi afterward and was impressed with how sweet and kind she is.
Maria is not better. There is a lot of digitizing in her vocals and screams, it's not all her, which is why she doesn't sound as good live as she does on CD, while Mixi sounds even better live than she does on CD, because with Mixi, it's all her. The singing, the screams...it's all her, no digital devices helping her like Maria has. Therefore, it is actually Mixi who is better. Maria is good, but she requires digital help to sound as good as she does in the studio. Mixi does not.
Where can I buy the cd's of this band? Amazon doesn't have them, only the singles album, Never Alone :/

Their past EPs are no longer available anywhere. The only way to get them is if you can find someone to share the files digitally, or maybe come across the EPs on eBay or maybe in a second hand store somewhere. But they are really hard to find.

they have girl vocalists who can do screamo too?
in this moment, desdemona, chasing the coronerand ashes of erin are the ones that are more close to screamo. The others are centred in extreme metal with guturals and violent vocals.

***** Yes, I used to mistake the two artists, but they can be differed by country/genre: Poland and Industrial Metal/ USA and Post-Hardcore, Metalcore. The american artist is the one that makes violent vocals.
