      Kevorkian is a serial killer, you should do a real investigation into this. Look at that als video again, he acts for the camera and that is not a proper interview. He’s the next Robert Durst, glad he’s not on the planet any more. That defence lawyer attacks the victims in court too, he’d never get away with that today. Kevorkians lawyer could be sent to jail if you did this right. By defending him he created more deaths. Kevorkian used a van to kill that patient. The consultations are an act to back up his serial killing. Look at what Robert Dursts lawyer did in their very first case. He lay on a table and covered himself in a blanket in the courtroom. Kevorkians lawyer attacked victims so he could kill again.

      Level of development? Give me a break. Some of the greatest evils of all time are perpetrated by people believing they are acting morally and ethically, or “for the greater good.”
      Jack held himself above the law, and played God with people’s lives. He violated the hippocratic oath and did so according to his own moral code. That is not a good man. That’s an out of control narcissist.

      Agree. I didn’t agree with him when I was younger and I had never seen anyone suffer. But now that I’m older and have watched loved ones suffer and diminish and become a weak shell of themselves it’s horrible. My grama was beautiful, did her hair and make up every day but then her cancer quickly made her decline. Diagnosed and died 6 weeks later. Bed ridden in pain in a diaper. I know she felt like she had nothing not even dignity. I don’t fault this Dr or any of his patients. It’s very brave ❤

    • @tierefuerimmer9635
      @tierefuerimmer9635 Рік тому +1

      Agreed! I've witnessed two of dogs having to be put down, one bc of bloat and the other one had cancer and she was bleeding from her nose and refused to eat . So our options were to either let them suffer from their conditions in extreme pain or put them out of their misery. And right before the vet came out to euthanize Princess she licked my mom and me so it was like she knew her time was up.
      I think it's extremely hypocritical how Kevorkian is sometimes treated like he's a Nazi/boogeyman type of person, but he said it himself that the goal is never to kill the patient but to relieve them of suffering as that's a doctor's duty. Hell he even video taped a patient who was requesting to be euthanized bc of advanced Lou Gehrig's and was in constant fear of choking on his own saliva and even after requesting euthanasia, Dr.Kevorkian checked with him several times if he really wanted this and even tried to give him a week. Then the patient's called him and said he wanted to be euthanized now, to which Kevorkian did.
      Whether ppl admit or not, Dr.Kevorkian is no different than those vets who have make the tough decision to put down their patients and he only does it after they're absolutely sure that's what they want

      When my beloved Maine Coon, 18 year old cat named Sabi developed cancer, the vet and I did everything in our power to ensure that my baby had no pain or suffering. And medication helped with that for a while. But when it became apparent that the pain was no longer being kept at bay with any amount of medication and the poor little guy couldn't even eat anymore, I knew I could NOT let him go on this way. I took him to his doctor where I held him and kissed him and thanked him for his friendship while the doctor helped him to cross over. I was devastated but knew I had done the right thing. Everyone told me I did what a loving , caring pet parent should do.....NOT let my pet go on in agony. But what if this were my father who was suffering? Or my mother? Or my child?? What if I took one of them to a doctor who would help them cross over and end their suffering? The doctor and I would be called murderers. Why is it unthinkable that our pets should suffer but our beloved family members have to lay in agony until their body cannot take any more of the ungodly pain and gives up on its own??? You can never understand the suffering that people go through when they are terminally ill. You'd do that to your pet because of your love for them, same goes for a human being who is suffering which has no quality of life any longer.

    It makes sense that if we put our ailing pets to sleep, someone that is living in NONSTOP never ending pain, why can’t Drs help in ethical suicide. Would they want a family member to help them and have them live with that burden? Of course you would want everything that you could possibly afford and have access to for your loved one or yourself to have a much better existence. And I have dealt with pain personally, pain just every second every minute you’re looking at the clock waiting to take your next pain pill, and that isn’t very fun either when your pain goes away and then the withdrawal from pain medication.

    My mother died from cancer. I thought her “treatment” was painful and terribly invasive. It left her unable to move alone and the closer she got to death she couldn’t even be moved at all because her bones that were left didn’t even support her body. She was in excruciating pain. There is pain that morphine doesn’t relieve.
    I cannot explain how bad bedsores can get when you can’t move, turn or shift a dying person’s body. Smelling your loved ones oozing rotting flesh is something that should never be happen. You try everything and nothing works.
    As bad as it is for the loved ones I can’t even fathom the horror of being trapped in a body that has turned on you like that. The indignities. The pain. As you lay there virtually rotting while being in unfathomable prolonged suffering.
    If we let this happen to our pets it would be considered abusive. We are compassionate enough to ease our pets pain and not prolong their suffering.
    I cannot understand why we don’t treat people with such compassion.
    Assisted suicide which should probably be renamed to something like compassionate passing should be available to anyone who wants it.
    If anyone finds me getting towards anything comparable to my mother’s death, please just shoot me and put me out of my misery. At least show me the compassion that was shown to Old Yeller.

Friend who had stage 4 cancer & Dr warned him they were addictive so he couldnt give him what he used to. Hospice did & he took chemo to find homes for his pets. Dr Jack is an angel bc quality of life beats pain. I too, am in chronic pain & was in heaven 3× & God evicted me bc I still have something yet to do. Maybe a pain advocate bc its so much easier to get Fentanyl than a script from a Dr. Theyve cut me back & expect me to just be in solidary confinement in bed. I was told women dont need sex like men do also. So humiliating to beg for pain relief. Weed they say will cause me to OD so I get tested for weed. Pharma owns these Drs. If I had Alzheimers or dementia Id so want to take mths supply at once yet Id forget or not know what they r. Id like to get up & brush my teeth or get into bathtub etc. DR JACK IS AN ANGEL bc when u just exist u r no longer living! Locked down for life sucks. Ppl with no disabilities r clueless with his relieving hell from these patients. My 6th friend killed herself bc she got my diagnosis & chose death than be like me. Dr. Kevorkian was a courageous warrior in the fight for the right of a human to choose when and how they die . And to die in comfort and with dignity. The setting could be very different than what it was in the 1990’s. Secrecy and stealth was necessary to avoid arrest for murder. Those who had accepted the truth that they could not be restored to any acceptable level of health had no choice except suicide by their own hand. No comfort, no one to comfort them as their life ceased. Who has the authority to command another person to endure suffering and progressive debilitation ? Apparently other family members can impose their will on the sick by refusing to honor the patient’s end of life directives to be allowed to stop all medical intervention. There are sometimes monetary reasons for a son or daughter to force a parent to go on suffering . As little as a Social Security check is reason enough for some. Dr. Kevorkian did not solicit patients, he made himself available to those seeking help. May your own death come swiftly and without experiencing ongoing pain, sickness, progressive deterioration, confinement to a nursing facility, or having your life extended beyond your ability to endure.

The government has just made it so you can end your life if you have mental health issues. Not just pain.. if you have any mental health issues you can just say I've had enough. That's a bit too far for me to agree with. But who am I to say about another person's choice. If there has been years of trauma and a constant battle in your head then I do understand.
